Watch snobs say the Apple Watch could never be a true collector’s items. But there is one Apple Watch charger guaranteed to be a pricey collectible.
It is saucer-shaped, gold in color and encrusted with 1,000 Swarovski crystals. Act now and you could own one of 10 for $5,000.
The makers of the Dome, a charging dock for both the watch and the iPhone, are currently crowd funding to mass produce a plainer version that will eventually retail with less sticker shock for $99 to $129.

However, California-based Defined Corp. wanted to offer a more decadent incentive as it seeks to raise $19,000. The company commissioned jewelry designer Cindy Pankopf to create the limited-edition Dome Crystal.
So far, all 10 Dome Crystals are available on Kickstarter. There is 41 days left on the campaign but why wait?
If you think a jewel-encrusted charging station is a bit much, it is hardly the most expensive Apple accessory. That honor may belong to German company GnG, which made an iPhone case with an 18k gold shell and 200 diamonds. The GnG Golden Delicious can be had for a princely sum of just under $109,000.
