For folks who work with color, like graphic designers, a monitor’s color accuracy becomes crucial. Today’s M1 Max MacBook Pro user really likes their BenQ 4K display for its fantastic color reproduction in photo and video editing.

Logitech G Compass microphone boom arm gets high marks in M1 Max MacBook Pro setup
European Redditor swiftgekko (“Gek”) showcased the tidy setup in a post entitled, “My current WFH setup. Still work in progress.”
He uses a 14-inch M1 Max MacBook Pro on a Raindesign stand — “very sturdy and really well made,” he said of the stand — to drive a rather sweet 32-inch BenQ PD3205U 4K monitor that he called “great for video and photo editing.”
He’s also got a Logitech Blue Yeti USB microphone on a Logitech G Compass microphone boom arm that he praised so highly we covered it last week.
Other bits and pieces in the setup include a Lepro desk lamp that Gek called “an absolute steal for this price” and one of Anker’s potent multi-port chargers, the 737 Power Bank. You can check out all the gear below in the links list.
BenQ PD3205U 4K monitor
Gek set aside special praise for his 4K external display, the 32-inch BenQ PD3205U monitor. You can find it for about $600.
“This is an absolute dream of a monitor for this price point with some really cool features,” he noted.
As BenQ says, the display is “made for designers.” The 32-nch 4K UHD IPS panel is factory calibrated for color accuracy and comes with a report straight from the manufacturer showing that. The display boasts 99% sRGB rec. 709 color gamut and average Delta E ≤3 for high color accuracy. And it’s CalMan and Pantone SkinTone validated (for all you design pros out there … a lot of others will read that and just say “huh?”). BenQ even developed its own AQCOLOR technology for accurate color reproduction.
Aside from the all-important color considerations, the monitor features USB-C connectivity and 90 watts of power delivery for a laptop. You can access content via HDMI, USB hub and DP ports. And you can expand your workspace with a built-in KVM switch, DualView functionality and more.
For comfortable viewing, you can tilt, pivot, swivel and adjust the height of the monitor and enjoy quality audio with its built-in speakers, according to BenQ.
