Apple continues its retail expansion in Southeast Asia with its first store in Malaysia — Apple The Exchange TRX. It’s set to open June 22 in Kuala Lumpur at The Exchange TRX mall. And you should check out the roof on this thing. It looks like a tiered pyramid.
Apple The Exchange TRX will be Apple’s sixth store in Southeast Asia. And it already has wallpapers for your device screens.

So far, the most remarkable feature of Malaysia’s new Apple Store is the roof, which takes the form of a tiered pyramid, as shown in Apple’s rendering, above.
Apple did not yet reveal details about the store and its opening, though typically those include special Today at Apple sessions with local experts. Sometimes an Apple executive (or two) appears. And it’s worth noting the store opening could coincide with the release of the Vision Pro AR/VR headset outside the United States.
First Apple Store in Malaysia, sixth in Southeast Asia
The store is also notable as the first Apple Store location in the country and the sixth in a region where Apple wants to expand against stiff local and regional competition from tech companies.
Apple also operates a small manufacturing base in the country for Mac mini. In the Southeast Asia region, the new store joins Singapore’s trio of Apple Stores and Thailand’s pair.

Apple celebrated the new store with wallpapers for your Mac, iPad and iPhone screens that look like the building’s roof, showing the Apple logo and the letters JOM (Malay for “come on” or “let’s go”) in a tiered design.
The new store opens June 22 at 10 a.m. local time.
