BenQ Ultrawide Creator Monitor perches on Oakyood stand in M3 Pro MacBook setup
Redditor rrogersca (“Rogers”) showcased the exceptionally nice and well-equipped setup in a post entitled, “New M3 MacBook Pro 16.”
Rogers recently picked a new 16-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro loaded with 36GB unified memory and a 1TB SSD for storage. And the powerful laptop connects to a wonderful array of peripherals through a Razer Thunderbolt 4 docking station.
The rig drives a 34-inch BenQ PD3420Q Ultrawide Monitor with a BenQ Screenbar Monitor Light on top. That display can be had for $650 right now. That compares well with Apple’s wares, with the 5K Studio Display’s at $1,600 and the 6K Pro Display XDR at $5,000+.
On Monday we covered the laptop and dock. Then on Wednesday we checked out the cool Keychron Q2 mechanical keyboard. On Friday we look more closely at the BenQ montor and Oakwyood dual-monitor stand, below.

And if you’ve got an ultra-wide display, why not give it a good home with a dual-display stand, or monitor riser. Rogers plants his BenQ display on an Oakywood dual-monitor stand made from, guess what, 100% oak on matte-black steel legs with cork underneath the avoid scrating surfaces.
And because his display is not absurdly huge, he gets even more space to play with on and under the stand (41.3in x 9 in), which can bear a weight of 220 pounds.
