Looks like Cate Blanchett might get a vile taste of her own medicine at the hands of Kevin Kline in upcoming psychological thriller Disclaimer, according to a “first look” at the limited series Apple TV+ put out Tuesday. That could be dawning horror on the Oscar winner’s face in the new image, above.

Notably, Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men, Gravity, Roma) created and directed the show. Based on a bestselling novel, Disclaimer premieres on Apple TV+ October 11.

The new seven-episode show Disclaimer boasts a strong pedigree. It comes, after all, from Cuarón, who won five Oscars. And it stars Oscar winners Blanchett and Kline. And the story steps from page to screen from Renée Knight’s best-selling novel of the same name.

Here’s Apple’s description of the “gripping psychological thriller in seven chapters,” which also stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Lesley Manville, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Louis Partridge, Leila George and Hoyeon:

Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets. As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys both her own life and her relationships with her husband, Robert (Baron Cohen), and their son, Nicholas (Smit-McPhee).

By the way, Apple TV+ also slipped a clever clue toward the bottom of its press release:

Multiple Academy and Grammy Award winner Finneas O’Connell (Barbie, No Time to Die) composes the score.
