Drug-addled nutjob Rush Limbaugh is giving away eight, 80-gig video iPods, one a week for eight weeks. The bad news: you have to sign up for his email newsletter “Rush in a Hurry.” Even worse, he’s vandalized the iPod with an engraving of his signature. How about a handful of painkillers instead?

Leander has been reporting about Apple and technology for nearly 30 years.
Before founding Cult of Mac as an independent publication, Leander was news editor at Wired.com, where he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the Wired.com website. He also reported from almost every Macworld Expo in the late ’90s and early ‘2000s, including, sadly, the last shows in Boston, San Francisco and Tokyo. His reporting for Wired.com formed the basis of the first Cult of Mac book, and subsequently this website.

Gee, aren’t conservatives allowed access to Apple products? Just like a liberal – their way or the gulag…
MKS
Wow. That’s about the most randomly hateful thing I’ve ever seen from a blogger without going to Daily Kos or Free Republic.
Drug-addled nutjob? I’m no fan of Limbaugh, but spare us your superfluous polemics.
Rush rules! He tells like it is. Al Fraken is the nut job.
Why put politics into a tech site? Attack the biggest talk radio star that’s actually promoting a product line you endorse? Did you attack U2 for the Red I-pods?
I agree with WilliamP. Describing Rush Limbaugh as a drug-addled nutjob is unfair and inaccurate. Rush is a FAT and DERRANGED drug-addled nutjob.
Leander, come on. Do you really have to take a cheap shot at Limbaugh to tell this story? We all know you’re a big lib. However, not all Mac users share the same affinity for all things left that you do. You could have easily told the story without the name calling and mud slinging.
Shame on you.
“Drug-addled nutjob” — You call this journalism?
I can confirm that us conservatives don’t buy Appletosh products. They’re hippie made sin machines!
First time I’ve seen your website…and last. Ranting liberals like you are sick and deranged and need help, not more attention and certainly not my time.
He’s just mad because Rush got Elton John and he couldn’t.
