MacMall.com offers the previous-generation Apple iPod shuffle 4GB MP3 Player in Black, model no. MC164LL/A, for $56.99 with free shipping. (Amazon.com charges the same.) [That’s a buck over our March mention, but it’s the lowest total price we could find by $2.] (Most places charge $75 and up.) Other than a redesigned form factor, this shuffle features VoiceOver, which speaks the name and artist of the currently-playing song, earbuds-based controls, and a 10-hour battery life.
The Apple Store offers the factory-refurbished, current-generation Apple iPod nano 8GB MP3 Player in eight colors (Blue pictured) for $99. (With free shipping, that’s tied with our mention from two weeks ago and $19 under the lowest total price we could find for a new unit.) Sales tax is added where applicable. All refurbished iPods carry a 1-year Apple warranty, the same as new units. Items are removed from Apple’s site when sold out.
The factory-refurbished, current-generation Apple iPod nano 16GB MP3 Player, available in eight colors, costs $149 with free shipping, another price low.
ExperCom offers the recently-released Apple Mac Pro 12-Core Intel Xeon 2.93GHz Workstation, model no. Z0M4, configured with 12GB RAM and bundled with three years of AppleCare for $6,469. (With shipping around $22, it’s $408 less than what Apple charges for the same configuration.) It features two Intel Xeon X5670 2.93GHz 6-core processors (12-cores total), 12GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, SuperDrive, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB graphics, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, AirPort Extreme (802.11a/n wireless), Apple Magic Mouse, Apple Aluminum Keyboard, and Mac OS X 10.6.4. It’s expected to ship within 3 to 5 days. Deal ends August 18.
