Enabot Ebo Air 2 Companion Robot brings enhanced features that make it an appealing addition to your home, the company said Tuesday. Launching with a price tag of $199 (minus 15% off launch discount), this compact mobile robot builds upon its predecessors with significant improvements in camera quality, interactive capabilities and personalization options.

Enabot Ebo Air 2 Companion Robot: Smart home security and more

The new Enabot Ebo Air 2 comes equipped with a 2K Ultra HD camera that captures high-resolution footage with an impressive 137-degree diagonal field of view. This wide-angle perspective allows the robot to monitor larger areas of your home, complementing other security devices you might already use. The robot’s IR-CUT enhanced night vision ensures clear footage even in low-light conditions. That makes it an effective 24/7 surveillance solution.

Ebo Air 2 offers motion detection with real-time push notifications you receive on your iPhone or iPad via Enabot’s app for iOS/iPadOS. (Ebo Air 2 press materials make no mention of direct integration with HomeKit or other smart-home platforms.) When movement is detected, the robot automatically begins recording and alerts you instantly.

Mobility and design that complements Apple ecosystem

Standing at just 9cm tall, Ebo Air 2 can navigate under furniture and into tight spaces that static cameras can’t reach. Its classic tread design gives it reliable mobility with obstacle clearance capabilities of up to 6mm. The robot offers two movement control modes: a beginner-friendly Steady Mode and a more responsive Sport Mode for precise navigation.

Available in white, pink and blue colors, EBO Air 2’s glossy finish complements the aesthetic of Apple products. The white variant particularly mirrors the clean, minimalist design philosophy that Apple is known for.

Interactive features beyond traditional security

Ebo Air 2’s interactive nature sets it apart from standard security cameras. The robot features customizable light-up emoji expressions that can be controlled through the companion app on your iOS device. From emoticons to letters, users can create dot-matrix designs that add personality to the robot.

The two-way talk function with Clear Voice AI Noise Cancellation ensures crisp communication, even in noisy environments. This makes Ebo Air 2 useful not just for security but also for staying connected with family members or pets when you’re away from home.

Pet-friendly features, smart battery management

For pet owners, EBO Air 2 includes enhanced engagement features to entertain and comfort pets in your absence. It comes equipped with a laser pointer to engage cats and multiple pet-play movements and sound effects that can be controlled remotely through your iPhone.

No need for battery anxiety with EBO Air 2, the company said. The robot automatically returns to its charging dock when the battery runs low, using either long-range path retracing or infrared guidance alignment. Users can also set up SmartCharge schedules through the app to ensure the robot remains powered and ready.

Enabot Ebo Air 2 Companion Robot: Privacy and security

Understanding the importance of privacy, Enabot implemented multi-level protection features. The One-Tap Privacy Mode allows users to instantly disable both camera and microphone when desired. The device also offers customizable guest access control with activity logging.

You can buy Ebo Air 2 on the Enabot website, priced at $199, with a 15% off launch deal. A version of the original appears on Amazon, so this update should appear soon, too.
