You can now purchase Apple’s 2025 MacBook Air refresh with a faster M4 chip from your nearest retail store. The upgraded Mac Studio with M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips also hits retail stores today.

Additionally, the M3 iPad Air and iPad A16 are also up for sale starting today, March 12.

M3 iPad Air and iPad A16 pack minor upgrades

The iPad Air switches from an M2 to M3 chip, with other specs remaining intact. No wonder the price remains the same, too, with the 11-inch model costing $599 and the 13-inch coming in at $799.

Alongside this, the revamped Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air hits store shelves today. It features a larger trackpad and a 14-key Fn row. Pricing starts from $269 for the 11-inch variant and $319 for the 13-inch model.

Likewise, the 11th-generation iPad now features an A16 chip. Surprisingly, this means the tablet misses out on Apple Intelligence support. The only other upgrade bumps the base storage to 128GB, doubling it from 64GB. Thankfully, there’s no price increase, with the iPad A16 retaining the same $349 starting price as its predecessor.

M4 MacBook Air

The M4 MacBook Air comes in a stunning new sky-blue color. More importantly, it carries a lower starting price of $999 and $1,199, respectively, for the 13-inch and 15-inch variants. The M4 chip is the only other notable upgrade, bringing a significant leap in performance and efficiency.

However, if you already own the M3 MacBook Air, there’s no reason to get the newer model. If you use an Intel MacBook or an M1 Air though, the newer model will impress you with its performance and battery life.

Apple calls the 2025 Mac Studio its “most powerful Mac ever.” You can configure it with an M4 Max or an insane M3 Ultra chip. The latter packs a whopping 32 CPU cores, including 24 performance cores. That’s 50% more than any of Apple’s previous Ultra chips. An 80-core GPU complements the superfast CPU, again the highest ever for an Apple silicon chip.

With the M3 Ultra SoC, you can equip the Mac Studio with a staggering 512GB of unified system memory and up to 16TB of storage space. There’s no lack of ports either, with the Mac Studio housing four Thunderbolt 5, one 10 Gb Ethernet, two USB-A, one HDMI, and one headphone jack on the back. The front packs two USB-C ports and one SDXC card slot.

The base Mac Studio with M4 Max chip, 36GB RAM, and 512GB storage costs $1,999. If you get the M3 Ultra version, which ships with 96GB RAM and 1TB storage, you must pay $3,999. A fully maxed-out Mac Studio will cost you almost $12,000. If you’re looking for a powerful tablet alternative, the iPad M3 delivers impressive performance.
