The update makes Spark’s search suggestions more powerful and visually pleasing than ever. The smart keyword feature lets you find the right email quickly. It filters your emails by attachment, date, whether the message has been flagged or forwarded, and several other parameters. You can even combine multiple keywords like “email from Den with attachments” to narrow your search results.

Readdle says its competitors’ lack of an easy-to-use interfaces makes it tough to retrieve information quickly. For instance, Gmail offers powerful search operators like “From: Den” and “has: attachment,” but the app feels pretty cryptic and unnatural. In contrast, Spark lets you search for “Email from Den with the attachment,” which sounds much more human.
Readdle’s update also considerably improves the load time of Spark for Mac email search results.
The Spark for Mac 1.3 update makes it easier to search for a particular attachment in a long thread of emails as well. To instantly access your attachments, simply search and click on it from the search results. Spark will jump straight to the exact message and highlight the file, no matter how long the email thread is.
Spark email for Mac gets performance improvements
Other notable improvements in terms of performance include reduced CPU consumption and improved memory usage. Swipe gestures now seem to work nicely on macOS, in line with the Spark email app for iOS.
