oh Jesus Wow The nerves I told you to stop drinking milk
0:07
before the show It's not helping Do I even have
0:13
a I don't even have it up Not sure if we're live I think it's
0:22
working That work Oh yeah we're live
0:29
What's going on there dudes let's pretend like we haven't been talking for 30 minutes What's new in Louiswis's
0:35
world lewis what's going on hi there You want to talk about your favorite
0:40
band uh Steel Panther Yeah my favorite band Not bad I mean you know they sounds
0:48
okay You know what that You know what they're missing though an accordion An electric accordion right or maybe like
0:54
five or 10 accordians Electric accordion Is that a thing oh yeah Louis shreds on
0:59
it No they uh they make MIDI accordians
1:05
They make what midi accordians Oh really That's pretty cool Is that like a kear
1:12
no it's like an I mean I guess I mean it's they sound like real accordians but
1:17
they're they're MIDI and you know they can That's wild man Yeah Do they have all the chord buttons oh so they have
1:23
the piano on one side but do they have the chord buttons on the other side Okay According tough instrument man
1:30
There's a lot of buttons on that thing Yeah I don't know how people do it I used to play it You did i took lessons
1:37
for like a year Wow When I was a kid Door salesman bro I still have the
1:42
accordion too The thing is a work of art It has like abalone inlays all over it you know mother of pearl I mean really
1:49
it's enough to make a German man cry I had one too while I had a Honda Accord It was my Accord accordion
1:57
I don't know what happened to it though You just kept it in there just in case Yep You never know when disaster will
2:04
strike and it needs to be regailed via accordion Yeah that is You know the old joke right like you leave the accordion
2:10
in your in your car you come out to the car holy crap the window's broken It's like oh my god You look in there's
2:16
there's two accordionss in the back seat That's a classic joke Only heard that
2:21
one about a million times Yeah man I think my accordion is still at my parents house The thing is a work
2:27
of art It's a true beauty I wonder how much it's worth Do do accordians have
2:33
I mean the problem is they've got you know their bellows or paper and once those go out Yeah I mean you know it's
2:40
like they they age and then those things need to be replaced And I don't know if you ever opened up an accordion but man
2:45
they are like I mean who hasn't Louis insane like the way that those things work There's all these pieces of metal
2:51
and things you know and levers and what so there's all kinds of stuff that can go wrong and and the um the way that it
2:57
produces sound is it pushes air through this reed block and each read block has
3:03
a piece of metal on it that you can like you tune it by shaving pieces of that
3:09
metal off or adding metal solder to it And there's little leather
3:16
uh covers little flaps that cover the air hole I mean it's it's inc like a 200-y old system right wow I'm looking
3:24
at pictures of it right now It's insane Who figures this stuff out man i'm I'm telling you this is only evidence more
3:30
evidence that our ancestors were all smarter than us I mean how do you figure this out it's incredibly complex And uh
3:38
but but so is virtually every other instrument I mean like could you build a tuba i couldn't Could you build a
3:44
saxophone how do you know where the keys go and the holes you know like who went and figured all that out it must have
3:50
taken like a hundred years Yeah I mean to me the accordion seems way more complex than those other things
3:57
but I feel like the easiest one would be like a piano It's like okay a string makes a sound you know it's like we'll
4:03
make them different lengths and thicknesses but and then you have a little hammer that hits it I mean that's crazy Yeah
4:11
I'm not impressed by that to be honest with you But a clarinet a flute something that you got to figure
4:19
how do you know where to drill the hole to adjust the sound and have the
4:25
different holes that you have to press in order to create a certain sound that seems absolutely impossible Like you'd
4:31
have to be the architect from the Matrix to know how that would actually work the the the boring answer is that these
4:37
things are never invented just all at once Like you know it's it's a very slow iterative process I really like looking
4:42
at like historical designs of trumpets to just see how they've like slowly evolved over the years or any answer Okay So it took like a hundred years
4:49
Yeah You know several hundred years honestly It built on it started like with you know a piece of bamboo with
4:55
some holes in it that you blew through Yeah And then then you got to the
5:01
recorder eventually Remember the recorder yeah Did everybody have a recorder and
5:06
I wonder I wonder if they Surely they don't still do that in school I'm not sure I haven't seen a recorder in a long time Didn't they cut every music school
5:13
from every school system on the entire planet i don't know But I hope they cut the accordion or the uh the the recorder
5:20
The bane of all parents Quarter Well what are you going to do i mean it is cheap Let's get into it I always like
5:27
the xylophone personally Thought that was a great instrument I'm on this website that's showing um pictures of
5:33
accordians and the top says George Whitfield self-employed accordion player
5:39
The jokes write themselves Lewis are are they all not self-employed are any of them a part of
5:45
a band in any kind of like Actually some of them are Some of them are I'm playing in a band with an accordion player this
5:52
weekend Are you All right Is he self-employed i think he's he's between gigs Mostly
5:59
retired He's perpetually between gigs Okay look No one wants to hear us talk about this
6:04
stuff We got Harry Grace we got Betty Reyes we got Level Remix we got Hubbach
6:09
we got Curtis Bland and he's anything but Let me tell you we've got Tommy T Oh man I've been listening to the to you
6:15
This is so offensive to you bozos for years Can we get the moderator in here and this is the first time I get to
6:21
watch you live Thank you YouTube notifications We finally got a notification working on YouTube It does
6:27
work Wow All right everyone Well I think we're ready to get rolling We got a lot of stuff to talk about Um
6:34
it's already one o'clock so we only have about 15 minutes left to do the show and then we'll be wrapping it up So let me go ahead and uh cue up Mrs You know who
6:42
we got this thing rolling Oh Mrs D Oh Mrs D Oh my dear I also like to
6:50
play instruments Oh really mrs D which one do you prefer oh well I like the skin flutes from El KY Oh god That's the
6:58
worst yet Oh my gosh that was unbelievably
7:04
uncalled for Mrs D and offensive Look at Lewis His face is turning the same color
7:10
green as that emoji This is a not safe for work podcast now Gez what the Let's
7:16
get this thing Never utter those words again I apologize to everyone on her behalf That is just absolutely uncalled
7:22
for Um Mrs D if you don't mind we actually have a lot of show to do here So um put a cork in it Get those sweet
7:31
vocal cords warmed up We'll get the music rolling and get this thing on the road in three
7:38
two Hello and welcome to the Kasky best 30 plus minute Apple conversation You're
7:45
going to hear all week long I'm your host Eron Join me today I'm not saying he offed Leander Kenny but he does have
7:52
world conquering ambition And I find it odd that Landrew disappeared some years ago and he's the only one that ever
7:58
talks or sees sees him He's the manager of Cult of Mac Oh Louis Wallace is here
8:03
I talked to him just this afternoon Oh sure you did Lis everything's fine I also heard they
8:10
caught you wearing his clothes dancing around the office We can talk more about that later Also with us don't be fooled
8:16
by his familiar looking background He's in an entirely new living compound somewhere in Ohio Someone noticed the
8:23
new plant And his new writing room has reinforced concrete walls to deter
8:28
unannounced visits from one Lewis Wallace He's a writer at Cult Griffin Jones is here Good evening No one would
8:37
ever place as you out out for a while How long have you been there a few weeks
8:43
now Okay Somebody did notice the plant though Oh yeah And the lighting looks slightly different but other than that I
8:49
I I like how you did your best to you know create a new set that looked just like the old set Exactly It's the same
8:55
the same exact paint color Milktoast 2000 It does I'm actually seriously impressed that you pulled that off The
9:01
the the universal uh color of walls when you rent a house I heard that they just
9:07
buy a bunch of white paint and just mix it all together and just use that because it's cheap like whatever buckets
9:13
are available like that people were churned or whatever just mix it all together just use that The weird thing
9:18
is that Griffin when he was looking for a place on Zillow he was searching for that exact color I mean that was if it
9:24
didn't have that color in that room it was a dealbreaker They they have a filter there You wall color and milk
9:29
toast 2000 and it's actually the only option but it it doesn't really reduce your options by that much It's that's what I appreciate about Griffin is he
9:36
wants his computers and his walls to be the same color beige Mhm you know and it's a great color so who could blame
9:43
him well look we got all sorts of stories to cover this week Uh big news about Apple uh making an announcement at
9:50
the upcoming WWDC uh changing up all their OS's We'll we'll talk about that Uh it looks like
9:58
Apple's fasttracking its smart glasses for 2026 so maybe even less than a year
10:04
away They got to do something man I feel like everyone's making moves but Apple and uh they're stock not where I needed
10:11
to be in order for the kids to be going to college Let's just put it that way It's had a serious drop and and hasn't been making a comeback It looks like
10:18
Apple might be adding a a a massive 200 megapixel camera to a future iPhone
10:23
We'll talk about that Uh we got a new game center app Oh boy Just stay tuned
10:29
We'll tell you all about it And then Griffin's going to tell us how you can keep your iPhone battery from going down
10:35
the tubes which I think is a tip that you could also use for your Mac and is something that I employ to uh you know
10:42
increase the longevity of my battery Um so we'll tell you that We're going to wrap up with some more listener voicemails Uh a couple of quick things
10:49
before we dive in here Uh a quick housekeeping note Uh this is my final
10:55
episode on this show for three weeks I'm going on
11:01
vacation and Griffin good old Griffster he's going to be taking over So if
11:06
anything goes haywire well you can blame it on him and let him know and well you
11:12
can't do it on Twitter Maybe send him a postcard Um and you can find his compound address but I hear he's
11:19
bringing back all sorts of guests some serious throwback So and I don't even know who they are So this could be
11:25
incredibly exciting Um I am gonna be heading to Florida You may see me at or
11:32
around Disney World Properties I'll be there in Mara Lago I thought you had Well that's not till week three Louis
11:40
So I'm going on a family vacation I almost never leave So you know and we've gotten it to a point where where Griffin
11:46
can can can take over and um I can actually get out of here for a little while So I'm looking forward to that Um
11:52
are we gonna have a video show Griffin or not i'm going to try but we as you
11:59
all know with with Skype being discontinued we moved to a new video platform that I haven't uh figured out
12:05
how to use yet So I still need to experiment with that They will definitely be released every Thursday
12:10
evening Yeah But um and I I'm going to try to get a video that I will properly
12:16
edit and upload to YouTube I definitely won't live stream it but um may maybe
12:21
maybe we'll see Yeah maybe we'll see There's your answer Well if there's no live show that happens it will come out
12:27
at the regular time in audio Um I'm really looking forward to the trip I I I
12:32
never thought I would go back to Disney World to be honest with you because the trip is just absolutely outrageously expensive But we had such a great time
12:39
and uh I don't know if everyone listening knows this I've got four kids four young kids and just to go and hang
12:45
out and go on rides and stuff It's just going to be an absolutely uh beautiful time together And some of my kids were
12:50
too young to actually go on any of the rides last time So for them even though they were there you know several years
12:55
ago this is actually the first time they're probably going to even be able to engage with the park in any way So it's going to be super fun I went to
13:02
Disneyland years ago and a listener heard me outside of the Indiana Jones
13:09
ride and was like "Aron and we took a picture together." I couldn't believe it So if you hear someone whose voice
13:15
sounds like mine and you look at the person and it looks someone like somewhat like me just come say hi and um
13:22
you have my permission just to go hug that person You know if it's me it'll work out great If not well you just made
13:28
a new friend or you'll get stabbed One of the two things people people will pull out like their their phones and look at the Colcast artwork to compare
13:34
and they'll be like you look a little you look you have more colors than just two little blocky from the artwork
13:42
realistic Yeah absolutely Or do I look like that in real life that's what you'll find out I'm completely just two
13:49
dimensional in so many different respects Um let me also just plug Colt
13:54
cloth If you have not yet purchased Colt Cloth this is a great time to do it Nothing works better to keep your
14:01
devices glasses computers all the um high-end gear in your life absolutely
14:06
sparkling clean I use mine on my Apple Watch all the time I've said this before I don't know why but my Apple Watch gets
14:13
so oily and nothing cleans it better than coat
14:19
cloth Jeez Yeah everything's fine Don't worry about me Um especially because all
14:24
the nooks and crevices around your Apple Watch and like the digital crown and all the like little divots and nut inside
14:30
there All the little fibers of colt cloth reach down in there and just pull out all the grime and dirt and will keep
14:35
your device looking absolutely sparkling clean which is the way I like it And if you agree head on over to
14:42
colloth.co.co You'll get a free extra carry cloth with orders $20 plus It
14:47
supports me It supports the show We appreciate and you'll get yourself the absolute best cleaning cloth that exists in our dimension or others That's a
14:54
personal guarantee Okay let's go ahead and dive right in Let's talk about all
14:59
the news that happened this week with with all the different OS stuff Lewis fill us in Yeah this is a crazy
15:06
one Uh Apple might switch all OS version numbers to years Uh Apple overhaul how
15:13
it names device operating systems and roll out the name changes at WWDC25 according to you won't believe
15:20
who Mark German I was going to guess that Yeah I bet Uh starting with this
15:26
year's releases Apple will number its software names with 26 So it'll be iOS
15:31
26 iPad OS 26 Mac OS 26 The list goes on
15:36
and on Um it's you know uh to keep things not fresh days Apple plans to use the
15:42
upcoming year rather than the current one you know so when they uh release the stuff in September 2025 it's going to be
15:48
labeled 26 next year stuff will label 207 makes sense because you don't want as somebody pointed out well you don't
15:53
want to you know try to sell something in January of 2026 that says 2025 it
16:00
just sounds especially because uh Apple usually doesn't release like Apple
16:06
usually doesn't push people update to their operating system until like you know 2 or like 0.1 or something like
16:11
that and point2 doesn't usually release until around December So you know in in 2025 you'd wait until December 2025 to
16:18
get iOS 25 I can see why they would go like you know number plus one Yeah Little little it's going to be weird to
16:25
us Yeah Uh having you know iOS 26 released at WWDC2 but we're the only
16:32
people who care and know about it as early as June So that is true No mere
16:37
regular person is ever going to know or care Although it is kind of confusing if you follow this at all that suddenly
16:44
we're going to go from a low number to you know 26 Um and
16:51
it might make you think that you're missing something and that you may need to upgrade or something And and really there's nothing that's changed except
16:57
Apple's just rebranding everything And I think it makes it more clear At least you'll know what year things came out
17:02
which I think is actually kind of helpful Yeah I mean I you know we were talking about in Slack it's like we
17:08
we're I'm constantly like double-checking wait a minute what version of watch OS are we on right now oh me too man All the time They're so
17:16
Well they're just all different And uh I think this makes it makes sense makes it a lot easier Although you still have the problem of like what be like a iPhone 17
17:25
on iOS 26 I that always confused me just the the gap between the iOS version and
17:32
the iPhone number Same here Same here It's I've always found that to be the most confusing thing like and this won't
17:37
really fix that unless this fall they release the iPhone 26 26 Woo Maybe Yeah
17:42
we're just going to jump ahead nine years Who knows what if they do that and
17:49
it's like the real iPhone 26 so it's not just the naming convention that's changed It's 10 versions ahead
17:56
laser beams So uh the other thing that's weird about this is the uh or not weird about it but it it made
18:03
me wonder like what I wonder if when I actually when I first saw the headline I was like "Oh man they're changing their name." I thought they're going to go get
18:10
away from the crazy like lowercase mac uppercase OS I thought maybe they would
18:15
go back to the classic you know capital MAC space OS I was kind of getting
18:21
excited about that because it always kind of bugs me you know vision OS with all jammed together but doesn't German
18:26
made no mention of that so I guess that's probably not going to happen Uh but I I got to say this when this thing
18:32
came out I I was like wow that almost sounds like one of those crazy rumors that uh they plant to try to burn a
18:39
leaker right it just seems I was just kind of shocked to hear it I I don't know For some reason it really hit me
18:44
like wow why ah it's been so long so long we've been writing in this this certain way It's I don't know mans might
18:51
not be able to adjust I mean if it wasn't like a genuinely good idea for them to do that I don't know that I would believe this rumor because it's
18:58
very rare that marketing things leak at all I mean Apple like intentionally planted like fake names for the Vision
19:04
Pro then that everybody fell for They were going they have like trademarked five different variations of the name
19:09
and I think Vision Pro caught us all by surprise Like it's it's it's very rare
19:15
for this sort of thing to leak I know man I I I I will forever wonder
19:21
who Gur's sources are because he just gets things right so often And it just
19:27
makes me think that I'm not accusing the guy of anything They're in cahoots man They're in cahoots big time His sources
19:34
are like official Apple sources because he's so confident that his intel is
19:40
accurate I just don't know And he's like the only one He's literally the only one and Apple is doing their best to squash
19:48
leaks So how is he able to maintain his level of accuracy because you would think eventually his sources would leave
19:56
or they would they would you know pipe up because they don't want to lose their jobs Cahoots man
20:04
Cahoots All right Did you touch on any of the actual stuff that's coming besides just the um the uh the naming
20:10
changes here i mean that's pretty much all that story was What do you mean like what's going to be in iOS have we already gone over no but he but he also
20:17
forgive me someone was texting me here so I had to take a a quick mental detour here But um but he also mentioned that
20:24
that some significant new changes were coming So like this is not going to just be like a slight overhaul It's going to be like a pretty big you know series of
20:31
changes coming to um some of these OSS So I thought I thought that was worth
20:36
mentioning Well yeah I mean that's that's been out out for a while right it's supposedly all of the operating
20:42
systems are going to look more similar They're going to look more like the Vision OS thing with this kind of glossy
20:48
glassy kind of look and different uh you know like basically complete overhaul
20:54
overhaul and you know we hear hear this about every other year Biggest overhaul in a decade He did he did actually
21:00
recently say that um Watch OS and TV OS aren't going to be excluded from that They're going to be touched on too with
21:06
the with the redesign two years after Watch OS was just redesigned I started thinking about how what's that going to
21:12
look like on the watch because the watch is still I as much as I use the watch I'm still like every now and then flumxed by it Like you know the one
21:19
thing I would really like to be able to do and I swear to God you can't do it is add the settings thing to the smart
21:25
stack or what you know the pin it to the smart stack You can you can make a an add a widget to the smart stick that
21:31
shows you three app icons and you could pin settings to one of those three app icons I try to do that settings does not
21:37
appear in that list of apps Really isn't that weird I I I've tried it on multiple watches I don't understand why What's
21:44
the setting that you always need to change on your watch uh you know I mean honestly mostly I'm just going in there
21:49
to look to see if if the update actually worked I mean as with all of my devices it's set to automatically update I can
21:56
just tell you now it didn't work It never does Never does There there's your answer It's so freaking irritating And I
22:03
always think well and then and then every once in a while oh it updated Great All right Anyway that but I I mean
22:10
if if somebody knows how to do that I mean I don't know I've looked over and over I actually thought I was losing my
22:15
mind It's like how can it be that I can't add that to that little set of pinned widgets but Anyway it reminded me
22:23
that I need to charge my watch I'm going to put that on the charger right now I ended up buying multiple chargers and I just leave them all over the place So I
22:30
can charge one at my desk charge it in my car charge it when I you know go to the office It's like I just want to have
22:36
chargers everywhere now And and it sucks cuz like the ultra chargers are not cheap They're $30 each because they're
22:42
like the higher wattage versions If you use like a regular Apple Watch charger you know you'll have a full-on you know
22:49
button chops and beard before your Apple Watch is done charging So I ended up having to pl down like an extra 60 bucks
22:56
to get the extra chargers I hate the way though if you've got like multiple watches on multiple charges around the
23:01
thing like you've always got an alarm going off you know ding ding ding It's always always always an alarm Yeah that
23:09
does bug me as well All right let's move on Let's talk about smart glasses
23:15
Griffin because Apple's got to do something to get the stock price up and I think this might be our play
23:22
Well let's see I don't care if Apple now plans Apple now plans to have its first smart glasses on the market by the end
23:29
of 2026 according to an unconfirmed report by by Bloomberg Previously
23:34
Previously rumors indicated that the chip to go into pro to Jesus just need
23:40
some editing here Previously rumors indicated copy editor over here to go into the product wouldn't even be ready
23:46
until at least that time Uh the rumored feature set takes advantage of Apple's work on artificial intelligence
23:51
including visual intelligence Uh quote Apple's glasses would have cameras microphones and speakers allowing them
23:58
to analyze the external world and take requests via the Siri voice assistant They could also handle tasks such as
24:04
phone calls music playback live translations and turnbyturn directions said Bloomberg So this sounds like kind
24:11
of like the um meta smart glasses except because it's built by Apple it'll it'll
24:16
be able to do a few additional things like directions and uh translation and stuff like that Features that are
24:22
elsewhere but it'll nice to you know just have on your face instead of you know staring down at your wrist or in
24:28
your at your hand Siri on your face Wow Imagine that That's that's what the the
24:34
new Siri has been missing It needs to be on your face Oh imagine you you talk to Siri on this thing and you know on your
24:40
iPhone you see like that little glow around the edge of the the phone You'll see like the glow around the edge of your glasses like all around your field
24:46
You feel like you're having a stroke Yeah Yeah That's great And it'll it'll
24:51
be like a total coin flip Does it answer on your watch or your glasses or your phone or your Right Exactly Even though
24:57
the glasses are on your face it will still answer from your HomePod across the room Yeah God it drives me It's not
25:03
yet clear whether the first generation Apple glasses will have a screen They could be entirely voice controlled which would reduce the cost and weight while
25:09
increasing battery life So it kind of sounds like a like a HomePod in in a way It's just like a
25:16
HomePod glasses on your face Uh the first generation of Ray-B band metal glasses attracted plenty of buyers
25:21
without a display but a version with a screen will supposedly launch later this year So right around the time that Apple
25:28
is ramping up speed on this thing and they're going to have something no earlier than by the end of next year Uh
25:36
everyone else is already surpassed them Certina supposedly plans to build it smart glasses around a simplified
25:41
version of the chip now used in the Apple Watch which will limit its capabilities but lengthen its battery
25:46
life It'll be many years before Apple can put the power of vision pro into a
25:52
glasses form factor So this is a different approach you know
25:58
um Tesla was not the first modern electric car There were others before
26:03
but I think what what set them apart was their different business plan like all
26:09
the electric car companies startups in the mid-200s that have disappeared and nobody knows anymore like miles uh they
26:14
they were trying to go from the low end like you know build a a small lightweight cheap electric car for like
26:20
you know you know they they couldn't make anything for less than $20,000 and then you would have a worse car that's
26:26
like worse in every way Tesla uh you know regardless of everything
26:31
going on with Elon Musk their genuine innovation was that they started from the high-end and worked down you know
26:36
with the Tesla Roadster then to the Model S which was an ultra luxury car and then to the Model 3 and all that Um
26:42
and that seems to be Apple's approach with the Vision Pro That's been Apple's approach with everything Yeah exactly
26:48
Build the incredibly expensive thing and then work our way down and then eventually it might happen to be cheap enough for ordinary people to buy Um it
26:56
seems like that that approach isn't working for the smart glasses area And I
27:03
think maybe like going from the bottom up you know it sounds like they're going to try to work the problem from two different directions this this cheap
27:09
lowcost device that only does a few basic things right and also the incredibly expensive face computer with
27:16
the vision pro and then eventually you know 10 years these will meet in the middle as the glasses that you'll want to you know that'll have the power
27:22
equivalent of an iPhone What do you think you know the problem with the Vision Pro is even
27:30
though it's like state-of-the-art the art isn't state enough Do you know what I mean it's like
27:37
it's for what it is it's an outstanding device and and it's an exemplar of what's possible but it doesn't actually
27:43
do anything that I don't think regular people need to do And I don't know if that's a problem or not because the
27:49
Apple Watch was kind of the same way Although I feel like in in its basic premise the Apple Watch made more sense
27:56
because it's like a watch People know what that is It's like a not a new paradigm The iPhone obviously was a huge
28:01
one Um the MacBook Air was obviously a huge one And the Vision Pro it's like
28:08
even though it's the best at what it does it doesn't do anything that people need So I'm not worried about it yet
28:14
because I know that Apple's dedicated to it and I think that they are good at figuring things out as they go along and
28:20
they will improve the product as technology improves But I do find it
28:26
interesting that they've released this product that's super expensive that has bells and whistles that we've never seen
28:32
before and they still can't sell it because people just don't really know what to do with it except for you know Griffin obviously Um I think the glasses
28:39
are going to be kind of the same thing I I feel like they're kind of following the trend here with a product that seems
28:46
to resonate with some people and it's not what Apple wanted to build but they're seeing that people are willing
28:51
to actually buy this I don't really understand why people like the meta glasses I I understand what they do I
28:58
still don't understand why you would want to have those But I think keeping it simple helps it a lot Like uh people
29:06
because the Vision Pro is so it's a computer It does it does everything People don't have a concept of what they
29:11
would do with it It's too big It's too big of an idea Like a computer on my face Like whereas like this is simple
29:16
enough to explain Oh you know it's it's AirPods you can wear It's it's directions you can you know have
29:22
narrated to you It's a speaker wherever you go where you don't have to put something on or over your ears you know It's it's a much more simple thing to
29:29
explain to people you know Um we've talked about this before and I and I think the piece that just kind of
29:35
connected to my brain is so I've had MP3 sunglasses before In fact Anka made a
29:42
pair called the um Soundcore Frames They were great man Terrific sunglasses And they connected to your phone via
29:48
Bluetooth But the problem was and I think this is where Apple will will make
29:54
a product that will resonate with people who are in the ecosystem is they don't have that beautiful AirPods connection
30:00
functionality right where it's like it just works and it connects as soon as you put them on and like you can control
30:06
everything from your phone and the streaming doesn't like drop out or anything Now the the the frames did that
30:11
too but they were kind of a little bit quirky They never really worked exactly the way you expected them to And these
30:18
will be seamless And the things I loved about the frames is you don't have to
30:23
put anything in your ears It just creates like ethereal sound right around your ears And you're not actually
30:29
wearing AirPods So you still have full situational awareness and people don't
30:35
look at you and think "Oh you can't hear me because you're wearing something in your ears." And then also you'll get the
30:41
picture functionality which I think that also maybe just those two things alone are enough for for these to sell In fact
30:47
I'm talking myself into buying them right now I don't even know how much they're going to cost but I'll pay literally anything to get my hands on
30:52
them As long as they're actually really excellent sunglasses I think what the Ankor frames did really well is they
31:00
were really high-end sunglasses like better than Ray-B bands or equivalent to Ray-B bands And you could change out the
31:05
fronts I wish I had them here I would show them to you all You could change out the fronts Like the stems were really where the technology lived but
31:11
the fronts were interchangeable So you could just like buy a new pair of like the actual glasses part pull the stems off put the stems on the new sunglasses
31:18
and you have like a brand new pair of sunglasses if you scratched them or anything And people would always compliment me on those sunglasses
31:24
because they've actually made cool designs So Apple has to make sure that whatever they design it's going to be
31:30
something that people actually want to wear on their face which is kind of hard because people have different taste in sunglasses you know and face shapes and
31:36
face shapes So in a way Anker was ahead of the curve right because they made it so that you could change them out So I
31:43
would hope that that Apple would do something similar but but but Meta hasn't Theirs are just the way they are
31:48
Well if if Apple comes with one in a tortoise brown that's I'll buy it on day one I'm also a fan of tortoise brown
31:55
Although I want the tortoise brown lenses I don't really like black lenses I like lenses that add a little bit of
32:01
warmth to you know like what you're looking through I would love a pair of orange lenses if I'm being completely
32:07
transparent I think orange is seriously underrated Then you can walk around like your Bono You could put your album on people's
32:13
iPhones without even asking There's a lot of privilege that comes with that It's a It has handtracking so it can detect when you when you touch fingers
32:20
with Tim Cook And every time somebody does that it's it sends like a little electrical pulse into your into your
32:25
brain stem Starts playing songs of innocence It's a beautiful day Yeah that's exactly it As soon as
32:32
you touch as soon as it sees two people touch fingers anywhere it just immediately starts playing It's a beautiful day That's a feature I'd pay
32:39
for I actually love you too I think people bag on YouTube way too much man They're like they're like one of like the best bands that have ever existed
32:45
But anyway Louis are you about to say something should we move on we'll be watching the Bono documentary I guess Uh
32:50
so I I mean people keep talking about these meta glasses being popular I I've
32:57
don't know that I've ever seen anybody wearing them in public I don't know that you would notice though because they really I think that might be true Yeah
33:02
because they just look like slightly thicker versions of of regular sunglasses Do you know if you've ever seen anyone wearing them no I haven't
33:09
But I've never looked So they're so discreet that I don't know that you
33:14
would actually notice unless the person was like literally standing right in front of you talking Probably only if they were recording your conversation It
33:20
was a bright like shiny Yeah I don't think they do that I don't think they do that I think they Are you sure i thought
33:26
they I thought they had some kind of indication they were recording I I find it still amazing that I mean a that
33:33
Apple hasn't done that but I mean if you think about Google Glass came out in
33:39
2013 That was I mean what 12 years ago and I mean that wasn't a huge roaring
33:46
success In fact it was a very controversial product But I mean I demoed those things one time and you you
33:52
could see like oh you know turn right at this next thing You know it had that navigation stuff going back then How is
33:59
it possible that that Apple has taken you know an additional decade to get
34:05
anywhere close to that i mean maybe they've got prototypes right now that you know they're just not quite up to to
34:10
snuff right but um it I don't know like I want to know what the what the uh the
34:17
big delay is You know it just seems like if this is a product that people are actually going to use then what are we
34:22
waiting for here i hate to even say this but for the first time in my life the
34:29
other night I had a nightmare about AI I've been doing deep dives as many of you know and if you've been following
34:35
any of the stuff that came out of like Google VO or the Google IO and they announced it um the V3 like their video
34:42
AI video engine I mean the stuff they're able to do now is absolutely mindsplitting And I always say this is
34:50
the worst it's ever going to be I mean it just keeps getting better and better and better I think at a certain point
34:55
these gadgets are going to exist in in a way where you're just constantly
35:01
recording video and audio at all times and AI is just processing through all of this material that you're feeding it and
35:06
it's like taking notes giving you updates on things that you need to remember editing videos on your behalf
35:11
to show you things that have happened in your life And I kind of think that this might be a first step in that direction
35:16
to something that you could wear that that can have that continuous recording Um and we we were we were totally on
35:24
point I saw other podcasts um last week talking about the partnership between
35:30
Johnny IV and OpenAI and like the types of devices that they're going to be creating and how this this new device
35:37
really is like where Apple was trying to head and now OpenAI is going to probably
35:43
beat them to that position because they have like the AI technology already that Apple's years behind and now they've got
35:49
Johnny IV to create the device and like they're probably going to start releasing devices that integrate tightly with OpenAI I products I don't know how
35:55
much y'all use chat GPT What open AI products they don't have a smartphone They don't yet They have the AI on it
36:01
But you know what apple has the phone that people like to use Yeah But they've got the guy who designed the phone
36:06
That's the point It's like so there is I think a future that exists that we're
36:12
not at yet where OpenAI is making the devices that Apple makes but they're tightly integrated with the actual AI
36:19
tech that Apple's trying to build themselves and I think is probably years behind in doing and integrated in such a
36:27
way that it just makes access to these AI features that they're building
36:33
constantly present and something that you actually want to use I mean imagine being able to talk to chat GPT the way
36:40
you talk to Siri except it actually works right it understands you It goes and gets you answers It goes and does
36:46
things for you It has agentic features meaning that it can go do things without your participation You're like "Hey I
36:52
need you to book me a reservation and a hotel room and a flight and I want to make sure that my costs are below blah
36:58
blah blah." And it's like "Okay." And it goes and does that Oh did I just lose signal You know what video's gone You know what
37:05
i just realized your uh camera's battery is dead I was
37:10
running my camera on battery power So let me plug it in
37:23
I completely lost my train of thought Yeah Hard to believe So hold on Let's see if it comes back in three two Why
37:32
don't you Why don't you take it back to the nightmare that you had uh God I don't even remember what the nightmare was about It was just about Oh it was
37:40
about a battery that keeps dying Why am I Why am I Hold on Plug Welcome to the
37:45
liinal part of the podcast that I'm going to edit out of the audio version This is the best stuff I'm back
37:51
I don't know why I did that I plugged it back into the the out Oh let's do it again Hold on a sec Maybe the battery is
37:57
too low for it to hold a charge and function at the same time Well this is a new one Okay I just took the
38:04
battery off I think what it was trying to do was keep going to the battery even
38:09
though it's plugged in now Um so that's weird I don't remember what the dream
38:15
was about I just remember waking up and I was like cuz I've been going deep in the AI stuff just researching
38:22
researching and I don't want to be a doomer but I understand now why people
38:30
are concerned Like when you talk to people who are in the AI space Elon
38:39
Musk it's so good and it's moving so fast I just don't know that we
38:47
understand what the ramifications are going to be societally Soci societ societ society that's real world right
38:55
on jobs GPT on national security uh on creativity I mean the fact that you can
39:03
describe a scene from a movie and make it in V3 and it's like pretty dang good
39:10
I mean look it's not going to remake Lord of the Rings in a way that is going to have people you know as impressed
39:17
as the Peter Jackson production but wait two years and there's going to be a lot
39:23
of disruption that happens And it's so smart I mean there is like this YouTube
39:29
video There's like this genre of YouTube videos that exist where people make a
39:35
moving um like still image and then they put music to it It's like a it's like an
39:40
ambient type music video And I watch a lot of these just like as I work I have them on the background and like it kind
39:46
of creates a vibe and like the music's there too I don't know anything about these videos at all So I just go into
39:52
chat GPT and I'm like I'm like can you tell me anything about like these videos like here's a creator What is this video
39:58
like what what do people how are they made and it's like boom Oh yes I know everything there is to know about this
40:04
topic you know and it describes to me what the genre is who the top creators are the tools that they use to make
40:09
those videos how they're made how long it takes to make them I was like dude this is mind-blowing I gave it almost no
40:16
information And yet from that small directive it inferred all of this different stuff And I've had that
40:22
experience over and over and over and over again And to quote myself from five
40:27
minutes ago this is the worst it's ever going to be It's gonna just keep getting better and things are growing
40:34
exponentially So a year from now we'll probably have the same level of progress that we had in the last four years but
40:40
now in one year And it's that's just going to keep happening And the only limitation that I see
40:46
is we don't have enough data centers to house all the GPUs that they need Uh and then also the absolutely insane need
40:54
power needs um that these data centers require Like we we literally don't have enough power to
41:00
power all of these different data centers So anyway I just ruminating on all this stuff I ended up having a
41:06
nightmare where I was giving AI directives to some chatbot or something I don't remember what what the context
41:12
was because I never remember my dreams In fact it's surprising I even remember that I had a dream because I never even do that But I remember waking up and
41:18
being disturbed And all I'm saying is no one thought that Terminator 2 was a
41:27
documentary and it's slowly becoming one Like I saw a meme the other day of
41:32
someone who created a picture of Sarah Connor In fact I almost said it to you Louis I'm not sure I ever did
41:38
It's like a It was like an 80s pixelated um image of Sarah Connor and she's like staring out the shades with like a smoke
41:44
hanging out of her mouth and like the ashes is like an inch and a half long and the caption was Sarah Connor
41:50
watching you use AI for everything in your life right it's like this is like the precursor to what happens in
41:57
Terminator 3 which I won't spoil it for you but it kind of gives you good was it i loved it actually I I thought
42:03
Terminator 3 was great It's not as good as two I mean I mean the uh events portrayed Oh the events No
42:10
it's not a good It's not a good outcome for humans Well it's a great outcome if you're not a human If you're a machine
42:16
it's a terrific outcome Yeah Um anyway Yeah man The AI stuff is just so bonkers
42:22
I won't I won't keep going on and on and on and on and on but but um All right Should we talk
42:28
about iPhone sorry I'm trying to read the chat How did you end up with Yeah
42:33
that's great You ended up with a couple of stories It's great I know Isn't that wonderful congratulations Well you know
42:39
what my friends if you're disappointed with the iPhone's camera or maybe you're just like you know what i want to know what's next We got some potentially good
42:46
news here We had a leak this week that Apple might be going with an ultra high-res 200 megapixel camera in an
42:54
upcoming iPhone Which upcoming iPhone well we we don't know about that but the post came
43:01
on Webo uh did not provide a lot of details All it said is that a potential 200
43:08
megapixel um primary camera camera might be coming to um future iPhones Didn't
43:14
say anything about whether or not it's going to have a larger sensor which you know you don't definitely don't need a larger sensor I think this whole
43:20
movement to just pack as many megapixels as possible onto a phone is kind of an odd one In fact in in fact I'm not even
43:27
really sure what the benefits are aside aside from the fact that you could digitally zoom because there's just more megapixels there to um crop out as
43:33
you're digitally zooming but you can do more pixel binning which you would uh combine with more even more processing
43:40
on it to to combine them and get maybe brighter images and reduce noise overall But yeah I guess that's true Yeah if you
43:45
don't have a bigger sensor that's the image fidelity isn't actually going to increase really Yeah in fact it could
43:53
make it worse because the smaller you make the pixels typically the worse quality the pixels are So that's why
44:01
some of the bestselling cameras have really low resolution um megapixel counts like the Sony A7S3 which is like
44:08
still one of the most popular cameras that exist has a 12 megapixel S uh sensor but the thing can like see in
44:14
like almost near darkness and still create a beautiful image So I'll be curious to see you know uh the quality
44:21
of of said images from 200 megapixels I'm also curious to see the file size I
44:27
mean that's kind of one of the downsides It's like the bigger the more megapixels you have the bigger the the the more
44:34
space the images take which of course isn't a problem You just pay for more iCloud storage Am I right Louis not a
44:40
problem Not a problem So easy So easy to upgrade you know Um which I I mean I'm
44:46
I'm not just trying to be um a pessimist here but like I actually think I would turn off the 200
44:52
megapixels just for that reason because I don't want to just clutter up I take so many I don't think they would have it
44:57
enabled by default Like even with the 48 megapixel shooter they the default picture resolution is 24 megapixels
45:03
That's true Like Apple puts it like squarely in the middle there You can turn on and take 48 megapixel RAWs if
45:08
you want but it's I don't even I mean it's available on all the phones but they they really market that as being a pro phone feature
45:15
Yeah I I think you're probably right about that They'll probably work in it in some way where it doesn't exist you
45:21
know across the board Um at 200 megapixels there'll be like certain features where you'll be able to use it
45:26
or they'll downscale the image or whatever But just a heads up that's coming down the pipe I will say that
45:33
would be a great time for Apple to move image formats to JPEG XL They added like
45:39
a little bit of support for JPEG XL like I think earlier in iOS 18 but they
45:44
haven't like really you know fully transitioned to it It's it it's it's one
45:50
of those all-encompassing imaging formats that's like backwards compatible with JPEG so you don't have to worry
45:55
about that It also supports animated images so it could replace JPEG XL could replace the GIF as well like it's it's a
46:01
very awesome format the more you look into it but they haven't like fully committed to it yet And you know what if they're switching to 200 megapixel
46:08
images it would be a great way to you know reduce those file sizes back down again Yeah that's also true I'm always
46:14
I'm always a fan of whatever camera improvements they're going to make I mean it's for better or for worse it's
46:19
most people's you know only camera In fact on this trip I'm going on I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to bring a camera with me or just use my
46:26
iPhone because the iPhone is good in so many scenarios Um it just it's it's it's good in so
46:35
many scenarios but not great in most of them Does that make sense it just it doesn't take the best pictures in all
46:41
situations but in in high dynamic situations it takes really good pictures
46:47
In fact it surpasses I think even some more expensive cameras So I'm like do I want a cart camera with me i mean it
46:53
takes the best videos It takes great videos And the zoom functionality where you can like zoom in and out with your
46:59
thumb is one of the most brilliant UI mechanisms or UX mechanisms I think that
47:05
has ever been invented on any piece of technology It's like zooming in and out is so easy to do on your iPhone And
47:11
that's not something that you see in almost any other in fact in any device I don't know that there's another device that makes it as easy to zoom in and out
47:18
And especially for that zoom range that it has like up to 5x Oh man it's just so buttery smooth But I'm still gonna end
47:24
up taking like no joke probably three cameras with me um
47:30
on this trip because I want to just test things out I'm going to take a GoPro for like when I want to go in the
47:36
in the water and also on like fastmoving rides Do you wear a helmet when you go to the park
47:42
um typed up top Not typically No I'm going to take my DJI Osmo Pocket 3
47:49
because that thing is an absolute monster camera It looks beautiful in so many different situations In fact it's
47:54
become like the camera of choice for most bloggers or vloggers I should say
48:01
And it's really a great camera for low light situations as well And the stability like the image stabilization
48:07
on that camera is unparalleled I don't think that there's anything else that does better unless you want to carry like a full-on gimbal with like a you
48:14
know a DSLR attached to it or something It is it is astoundingly good but not
48:19
great for action scenarios So I'm taking those two and then I'm going to take my
48:25
probably my Fujifilm X100 6 so I can take like actual good stills I know this
48:30
is crazy I can't believe I'm taking all these cameras but I'm like you know what i'm not going to take them all with me
48:35
every day I probably will I probably will Do you have one of those tech vests
48:41
like a Scotty tech vest who's Who's that Japanese kid in the Goonies i'm going to be like him with all like the gadgets
48:47
attached in like a in my Oh man that's going to be me Yeah But
48:53
I I could tell you why I'm taking taking each camera I mean maybe I don't need to take my GoPro Like that could be the one
48:58
that I don't take But it's so versatile I mean the GoPro has a screen on the
49:04
front and the back so you can flip it around and you can see you can frame your image really easily And it's like
49:09
you can't do that with your iPhone The um the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 because it has
49:14
the gimbal like you can't whip it around because you know it has a moving piece at the top of it You're going to break it if you start trying to whip it all
49:20
around So the GoPro is perfect for like fast moving scenes like roller coasters
49:25
So or just going in the water because the thing's like indestructible And and the GoPro I should say the GoPro stabilization is also very good but not
49:32
good in low light because it doesn't have a physical gimbal on it like the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 I'm sorry this is
49:38
probably boring everyone but I've just done all this research and so I'm like "All right let's go and take all these different cameras and use them all for
49:44
different situations." Or doesn't the Osmo have like a button you can press that'll like mechanically like spin the
49:50
camera around it does It does Well you got to like triple press the joystick which I think is kind of clumsy Like I
49:56
feel like it needs an actual button to press that flips it back and forth But even if it had that that actual button
50:02
you know it doesn't happen fast It has to like swing its whole gimbal around Whereas the GoPro I have like this little handle with it and I can
50:09
literally just go boom boom boom boom and just whip it back and forth and nothing else that I know of works that
50:16
fast And it has a screen on the front and the back Whereas the DJI the DJI Pocket Osmo 3 can't believe I'm able to
50:22
say that that fast You know the screen's only on the front so you can't just whip it back and forth You have to literally press the button The gimbal swings
50:28
around It's a great camera just not for fast moving things So anyway that's going to be me walking around Disney
50:34
World with my plethora of gadgets I probably could just use my iPhone but
50:39
the iPhone doesn't have a screen on the back so you can't frame yourself in that situation Plus it's awkward to hold Like
50:45
you're not holding a you're not holding an iPhone as you're going down a roller coaster Like you could but good luck That's a great way to lose your iPhone
50:52
you know you can't hold on to it when you're getting around with a popsocket and a a wrist strap Yeah Something to
50:58
keep that thing from flying away Um but again you can't like I took a really
51:03
great video last time I was at Disney World with my kids Um they were in the
51:09
car in front of in front of me on um Thunder Mountain and I was like whipping the camera forward and back showing me
51:15
showing them showing me showing them and showing the track right and you can't do that with an iPhone because as soon as
51:21
you turn it you you can't see what you're looking at anymore So there's really only it depends on what kind of
51:26
shot you want There's only kind of one way to do that and you kind of have to have the GoPro in my opinion Um so
51:34
anyway hey anything for the memories Louis Anything for me anything for the roller coaster whipping around shot that
51:40
and that video every time we watch it we all just laugh and laugh and laugh like it's like because you're going up and
51:46
down and around and getting whipped left and right and the only way I could have got that shot was with the GoPro like
51:52
nothing else that I own would have done that I mean maybe the iPhone if I just kept it you know pointed at one
51:58
direction but then I couldn't be in it and you know my kids want to see me getting you know tossed all around Uh
52:05
all right Let me just mention this story real fast and we'll move on with our lives Um Apple plans to replace the game
52:11
center app or plans to replace game center with a new gaming focused app a
52:18
new crossplatform application developed by Apple will call attention to games on iPhone Mac and even Apple TV According
52:24
to an unconfirmed report on Tuesday I I have not thought about game center since they redesigned it you know um back when
52:31
Johnny IV was still with the company Um it'll it'll replace the current game
52:36
center track users in-game achievements give players a way to talk about other gamers and more The new app will feature
52:43
editorial content from Apple about new titles and offer access to App Store um
52:48
game content stuff and promote arcade of course Um it will also show you achievements
52:55
that you've earned in various games as well as leaderboards so on and so on and so forth Um the league from Apple
53:02
Insiders to Bloomberg doesn't include the name of the upcoming app but it'll probably be something like Apple Games
53:07
Yeah probably So I I would be shocked if a single person listening to this
53:13
program today cares about this story at all But you know what i have a theory Yeah All right There are two ways Apple
53:20
could go with this the the little way and the big way The little thing they could do it which is probably the most
53:25
likely thing is they just bring back the dedicated Game Center app and that's what this is because like game center
53:31
never went away They just removed the app around like iOS 9 or something like that and just buried it in settings but
53:37
they kept adding more game center features that have just been harder to find Yeah So the simple thing is they just bring back the Game Center app The
53:44
the bigger idea that could happen is Apple splits off games from the rest of
53:50
the app store and has a separate game store with different rules Maybe it has
53:55
like the the same like you know 7030 split but the app store switches their payment system You know they they go all
54:01
in on games and like try to pitch this new game store version of the app store
54:08
as like you know the the Apple equivalent of like the Steam store or something like that and then they they they try it for a few years and it
54:14
doesn't go anywhere But you know they can say they've tried Hey you know what i got no hate for Apple trying to do
54:20
something just to make an app that maybe doesn't get any love better You know it's hard when you're at a company like
54:26
Apple or or any company to to put any engineering effort or design effort into
54:31
an app that doesn't really get used that much is something that you typically shy away
54:38
from because like they want to focus on the areas that have the biggest ROI So I appreciate that Apple's actually trying
54:43
to improve something that probably doesn't get a lot of use but they don't want to retire right so it's like you got to do something related question
54:49
Have you planned any parties using the Apple Invites app i I have not but I can
54:55
see that app actually being quite popular because it's so practical I don't the the problem is that is not
55:01
that I don't um want to use the app The problem is I don't have any parties so I
55:06
have no reason to use the app But next time I have to plan a party or the next
55:12
time my wife is planning a party I'm going to suggest it Yeah I hear I I I hear the the dubious
55:19
nature of your I think it'll be pleasantly when you mentioned you know Apple they they sometimes put like you
55:26
know a few hours into like making one of these random apps and something like that It it just that just popped back in my head and I realized I hadn't thought
55:31
about the invites app in like three months I haven't either Not since we talked about it But now but now I'm
55:37
gonna All right Uh I think that's it for Apple News this week but I think we want
55:42
to uh cut that how-to and go straight to Speakpipe voicemails Yeah we might want to do that Oh this is great I don't
55:48
think we should cut it I I think you should plug it for sure Okay because it is interesting In fact yeah just go
55:54
ahead and do it I mean it's pretty short I give myself a clean edit point here Yeah Moving right along Uh a few weeks
56:01
ago I think we were talking randomly about about like iPhone battery health or something like that And uh I decided
56:08
to to write up the advice that I gave you off the cuff on the show as a proper article How to keep your iPhone battery
56:14
from going to crap Um proper instructions and a video Basically you know limit your uh charging to 80% Keep
56:22
your phone on a Mag Safe charger as much as you can The combination of those two things will you know prevent your battery from being overt taxed all the
56:29
time and you know which will promote long-term battery health As counterintuitive as it sounds like you
56:35
know reducing your maximum charge to 80% To improve battery life it actually improves the health That makes a huge
56:41
one Yeah that that's a huge one That makes a huge difference Although it does
56:46
reduce your capacity by 20% which I often find to be annoying but it does
56:52
work Well combine it with step two keep it on a mag safe charger as much as you can all the time which is what I do And
56:58
you know I'm still under 200 cycles on my battery that I got on day one and it's still at 100% So well that is
57:04
surprising because if you leave it on a Well you say Mags Safe charger Do you do you mean a charger in general or do you
57:09
specifically mean Mags safe i guess any charger but it's Mag Safe ones are more convenient Yeah I uh I'm surprised that
57:17
that doesn't degrade the battery because it puts it into a trickle charge state so it's constantly keeping the battery
57:22
charged And you would think that that would degrade the battery faster but maybe it
57:28
doesn't make any difference because like whether you're using the battery all the way down to 20% and then charging it
57:33
back up or just keeping it constantly microcharged it seems like maybe it does the same thing I'm looking to see what my battery percentage is right now And
57:41
the final tip is uh reduce how much it drains in a single day So which you'll probably want to do anyways if you're
57:46
you know only maximum charging it to 80% But you know reducing how much it drains in a day reduces the over overall number
57:54
of battery cycles that it has to go through So I have I have a few tips in there as well like you know liberally
58:00
use low power mode whenever you can Don't just wait until it gets down to 20% Like if you know you're having a big day out maybe turn it on in advance stay
58:07
on Wi-Fi as much as you can Don't force quit your apps Those those are my three big ones I don't know why Apple hasn't
58:14
added this kind of functionality in for Mac Um they did it for iPad but they
58:19
don't have anything like this for Mac So I've been using an app called Alente which is is free to use It has
58:26
some pro features which I haven't found that I've needed Um but Alente lets you
58:31
tell it how high you want your battery to charge and then it just stops the charging there And I've been using that
58:38
on my Mac to kind of keep it you know at a good state so I can leave it plugged in more often Um my phone cycle count
58:45
229 on my battery 100% capacity Dude it works Absolutely It works so well I mean
58:52
again you're making a trade-off because you're not going to have access to your full capacity all the time And um I wish
58:59
there were an easier way to be like "Okay charge it to full capacity now." In fact I wish you could schedule it Like I want you to keep my phone you
59:07
know at 80% until Thursday at 9:00 am in which case I want you to have it charged to 100% Like why can't you do that yet
59:14
like I hate how Apple tries to manage it all Like the whole optimized charging thing I I get I get the premise but in
59:21
in practicality doesn't work Like I don't want you to figure out when I want my battery charged I will tell you when
59:27
I want my battery charged Like a week ago when I when I wrote that article I was at 192 cycles and it's been like a
59:34
full seven days and I've charged it every night but I'm only now at 196 cycles So you know that that's what it
59:40
means Like you know it reduces the amount of times that your battery has to like drain itself and go back up again
59:45
Interesting I would have guessed that it still would have counted that as a cycle though Maybe not Oh interesting Anyway
59:51
we're going to link to the story There's more tips in here and there's a video too So we'll link to the story and you
59:56
can go check it out if you want to know how to preserve your battery life And if you if you are someone that keeps your devices for a long time dude no brainer
1:00:03
You should absolutely be employing all these tips Um that's why I'm doing it on my Mac cuz like my iPhone typically
1:00:09
upgrade every year My Mac not so much So I want the battery to last as long as possible Close though Every couple years
1:00:17
No wait Dude this this Mac I I absolutely love the uh M4 Max the maxed
1:00:23
out uh MacBook Pro the 15-inch go all all the negative press I heard about the
1:00:29
15-inch I've never owned um a 15 inch and I heard so many complaints about it
1:00:36
being loud and the fans always coming on and blah blah blah blah blah Definitely don't upgrade to more cores And I think
1:00:43
there probably is some truth to to to that sentiment Um maybe I'm not pushing my Mac hard enough but I have never
1:00:50
heard the fans come on Not once since I've owned the machine It's so much more portable and it's such it's it's such a
1:00:57
delight to use it And my uh 16inch MacBook Pro like I love that machine but
1:01:03
it was significantly heavier I think it was like a pound and a half heavier And dude you feel that for sure Like the 14
1:01:08
inch just or the 15 inch The 14 inch Gosh I'm keep I keep saying 15 No one No
1:01:14
one's correcting me Feels like a toy It's like so light Yeah Anyway All right
1:01:20
Should we go to uh listener voicemails we got a few more
1:01:25
So let's wrap up with some of these voicemails Uh if you want to leave a message for us we would love to play
1:01:30
them on a future show Speakpipe.comcast
1:01:35
speakpipe.comcast You can also text us There's a link in the show notes if you want to send us a text In fact we got Didn't we get a text message recently
1:01:42
that we wanted to read i swear we did Look it up Someone probably I have a
1:01:48
hot stock tip Get in on this now Click here I did get that text Lewis Thank you
1:01:55
Um yeah great It It didn't It didn't seem like a great stock I'll be honest with you
1:02:01
Um let's see here Oh yeah We got a bunch of stuff You know people some people are still complaining that they're not
1:02:07
getting the episodes We got to figure this out man It's not a lot It It's definitely dwindled down
1:02:13
Um but we're not sure what what what the uh what the problem is So if you're
1:02:19
having the issue still send us a text let us know Um and uh we'll try to get
1:02:25
that ironed out Okay let me let me go ahead and boot up Um here we go This first one comes from
1:02:32
Paul CarPlay Hot Takes Let's see what Paul has to say Is this thing on
1:02:44
oh I think it's working
1:02:50
Or not Let me refresh the page Let's try again
1:02:55
All right I got some hot takes on CarPlay First of all wireless CarPlay kind of sucks You have it It's got to
1:03:03
sit on the charger If it's built into the vehicle charger it's probably not like that fast Your phone is getting hot
1:03:09
cuz it's on a charger It's getting hot because it's transmitting wirelessly and then it's also just in a hot car and so
1:03:14
you end up with this like extremely overheated phone and I don't know it's the stuff is going w so wait a second I
1:03:21
didn't mean to pause it right there but that's interesting so I'm using a third party CarPlay um screen called the
1:03:29
CarPod go and you don't have to have the phone plugged into anything or laying on anything you can literally have the
1:03:35
phone in your pocket and it still works I think it it varies very much by car manufacturer Like I hear a lot of people complain about wireless CarPlay and that
1:03:42
it's really laggy and all that but I'll say my most the most experience I have with that is somebody I know with like a
1:03:47
Hyundai Venue and for whatever reason you know it's not the most expensive car It's kind of like a budget like little
1:03:53
crossover SUV shaped thing but like it has incredibly reliable wireless CarPlay
1:03:58
Maybe it's just like a Hyundai thing that their wireless CarPlay is better but it's absolutely flawless and super
1:04:04
responsive Dude the CarPod Go I'm telling you I I finally found one thing
1:04:09
about it that I don't like and I don't even know if this is a problem with the CarPod Go So the CarPod Go like I said
1:04:14
you can buy on Amazon I think it's like 220 bucks and it's a screen that you attach to your you know dashboard or
1:04:20
your or your windshield The the wireless CarPlay is like flawless It almost never
1:04:26
has any issues I think I maybe have had it not connect one time and I just restarted it Um and which is really easy
1:04:32
to do and it worked Um the only thing I don't like about it is at 6 PM for
1:04:40
whatever reason it goes from a um a daylight map to a night map Now I think
1:04:47
that's all CarPlay isn't it it might be all CarPlay but in my version of CarPlay
1:04:52
you can set the map um uh you can set the map lighting I don't how else to
1:04:58
call it It's um whether you have like a daytime map or like a nighttime map right because it goes in like dark mode
1:05:03
You can set it to automatic or you can set it to dark mode There's no there's no light mode And I I think this might
1:05:09
be a CarPlay thing And so at 6 PM it goes dark Well in Seattle it's light until you know 10:00 right now So I
1:05:17
can't see the map with my sunglasses on and and I don't know how to fix it That is literally the only problem Other than
1:05:23
that my phone could be in the trunk and the wireless is like absolutely flawless
1:05:28
The map works great So that is weird that you have to have it on like a on like an actual magnetic pad All right
1:05:33
let's see what else Paul has to say This is a hot take He wasn't lying You're just asking for trouble I'm I'm not
1:05:39
about it I think it's pretty easy to just plug your phone in Uh so I don't know if I really believe in wireless
1:05:45
CarPlay As for Ultra here's my thought on that I kind of think they might have
1:05:51
named it Ultra in somewhat of an admission that they've given up on CarPlay too in that they're saying like
1:05:59
CarPlay Ultra will only be on ultra premium vehicles and things like that I
1:06:04
don't know Maybe there's evidence to the contrary I'm not sure but it is interesting And I I'm not entirely sure
1:06:10
this one's going to trickle down to normal cars It might stay up at the premiums because they've had difficulty having manufacturers that adopt the full
1:06:17
CarPlay system and all that All right see you guys Bye All right some good hot takes from Paul What do you think about
1:06:23
that Griffin well they did also announce that uh Hyundai and Kia will be adopting CarPlay Ultra so I'm not so sure about
1:06:30
that there But u Okay I guess that that's the takeaway from this message Buy a buy a Hyundai
1:06:35
I'm not sure I will do that Not sure I'll do that I will either You know what
1:06:40
people seem to really like Hyundai's but I have heard they are one of the most unreliable cars that exist They've
1:06:47
really turned around in like the last 10 years or so And they made them better Yeah Really okay I haven't heard that Um
1:06:53
cuz like I watch like mechanic YouTube channels and like they seem to really be hit or miss
1:07:00
Like people either have one that's reliable but more often like as soon as it gets past the warranty 100,000 miles
1:07:06
it's just like one problem after another So maybe buy a new Hyundai but not a
1:07:11
used one until as always check consumer reports for this thing or look up vehicle reliability numbers But yeah I think they're they're pretty you know
1:07:17
above the middle of the pack as far as reliability goes Well the thing I don't like about Consumer Reports is they don't monitor the car outside the
1:07:23
warranty period They only monitor it for like the first three years it exists Well of course the car is going to be reliable then Like what I want to know
1:07:29
is what happens after that So like the mechanics are the ones that I trust and like there there are several mechanics
1:07:35
that will like literally go through their computer systems and like tell you out of all the repairs they've done how many are Hyundai's how many are Toyotas
1:07:42
what the problems are how much on average it costs to repair There's a bunch of YouTube channels now that that talk just about that stuff And like all
1:07:49
European cars and Hyundai's like basically at the bottom of the list like almost every single time Um Mini Cooper
1:07:55
have gotten better Although they were they used to historically be really bad Um and then there are certain cars What's that i'll believe that one I see
1:08:02
Oh dude Oh you mean like the Mini Cooper thing yeah I know No kidding I don't trust that at all I mean it's made by
1:08:07
BMW Dude that that thing I mean when people say those are money pits I mean that just could not be more true I have
1:08:14
never had such strange problems with a car ever as when I had my my um convertible BMW I'm so happy I sold that
1:08:19
thing Um any thoughts here Louis before we move on about CarPlay about anything
1:08:27
anything Well uh but you know the most striking thing about that call that guy sounds like one of our writers He sounds
1:08:33
like Edward He does Yeah Very coherent too you know which I appreciated His
1:08:40
voice it's very interesting Yeah Stay on point Yeah bonus point Topic actually
1:08:45
relevant He worked two topics into a one minute long voicemail That's points right there
1:08:52
I I plugged my uh phone into I don't have wireless CarPlay And do you want to you want me to send you a CarPod go
1:09:00
I already have a screen All right I tried to do a giveaway You know what i should try to do another giveaway I
1:09:05
tried to do a giveaway and and no one no one contacted me Like no one seemed interested in it Too many of them They
1:09:10
sent me two Yeah Send one down You want to try one i You should uh What about
1:09:16
you Griffin do you have CarPlay i do not have CarPlay but my Prius has Bluetooth and that's good enough for me Send it to
1:09:22
Griffin He's going to love it You want to try it out i'd give it a go Yeah Yeah All right I'll tell you what half the time the
1:09:29
plugged in wired CarPlay does not go to the the CarPlay screen for me I have to
1:09:34
like unplug it and you know I think it has something to do with unlocking the phone but I haven't figured out the magic sequence that you know must be
1:09:42
turned off or turned on or whatever before you start the car or after I I don't know It's like it's kind of
1:09:48
annoying You know you would think a hardwired connection would always be just solid as can be But yeah you would
1:09:55
think that Now I should add actually you just you just reminded me of this fact that the CarPod Go doesn't connect
1:10:01
easily to sound from your iPhone So typically what they want you to do is connect your iPhone to your car via
1:10:07
Bluetooth I don't do that cuz the Bluetooth in my car sucks and introduces lag I think the sound from my phone is
1:10:14
actually better than the speakers in my freaking Subaru So I don't even bother The speakers in my in my car suck man
1:10:19
They're so bad I don't even bother using them I I literally never use the speakers Um gee whiz they're horrible
1:10:26
And uh and the other thing is like you have to like plug in like an auxiliary cable if you don't want to use the
1:10:32
Bluetooth and then plug that into your car And I'm like dude I'm not even trying to mess with all this stuff I mean for me my main purpose is the maps
1:10:39
Like I just like having the CarPlay maps up all the time It's so much better than using my iPhone And now I can just have
1:10:45
the map continually working Um that's like my main use case I don't use a lot of the other CarPlay features of which I
1:10:52
know there are many So like if you want the full CarPlay experience and that the CarPod Go actually might not be the best fit for you Uh all right Let's boot up
1:10:59
another voicemail This one comes from Spencer He's a Yahoo Oh no He's
1:11:07
atyahoo.com Won't give you his full email address I almost just said his email address Wow that'd be great All
1:11:13
right let's see what Spencer has to say This better be good It's a minute and 5 seconds
1:11:19
Hey this is Spencer from Arizona Huh huh long time listener first time caller Oh I love the show Keep up the banner Thank
1:11:25
you Louis The song you were looking for is called Fore/ Long Time If you ask for the wrong
1:11:33
song you're going to get the wrong song Garbage in garbage out my friend Secondly we were talking He just called
1:11:38
you garbage We got to find this guy Unbelievable He comes on our show he calls you garbage No not going to happen
1:11:44
claims to love the show about learning Braille As a uh plant
1:11:51
rehab professional for 20 plus years I tend to steer my patients away from Braille
1:11:56
because it would take them years of daily effort to learn Braille and they
1:12:01
would never use it because we get you that same book in audio format in a couple of seconds Uh your your iPhone
1:12:07
can very quickly and easily read a print document out loud to you No way Um you can read uh you can use speak screen to
1:12:14
to to read from you know uh uh emails and text messages and so forth And you can use uh software the built-in
1:12:21
software to have it read a print document out loud So uh if you were deafb blind that'd be a different story
1:12:27
You'd be desperate to learn Braille but otherwise no Keep up the good work
1:12:34
Great message from Spencer Wow So he steers his So he did he say he's a a a a
1:12:40
blind rehabilitation that wouldn't make sense A blind I almost said
1:12:46
rehabilitation specialist I don't think that exists Maybe it does dude I don't know
1:12:52
Maybe maybe it does But he helps blind people interact with their environments
1:12:59
Um especially when it comes to like media and stuff And that makes sense
1:13:04
that there's a lot of tools now that just read stuff to you and you and you don't need to learn Braille which I think the the conversation we were
1:13:10
having before is dude Braille sounds like it would be impossible to learn Like you're just feeling little bumps
1:13:15
and you have to like and it sounds like it is very hard to learn According to him it is hard to learn It's taking him
1:13:21
years which which which is also probably why Apple has waited like this long to actually add like proper braille support
1:13:26
on the iPhone with this rumor you know Oh no not a rumor with what they announced at you know a few weeks ago at
1:13:32
their accessibility press release But um it's good that they're eventually getting around to it for those for those people who do need it and know it to
1:13:38
dude an AI is only going to supercharge this I mean I can't imagine trying to get Siri to recognize text and read it
1:13:45
to you and have it be accurate but like any of the other AI tools that are out there are going to you know live text is
1:13:51
really good and it's only getting better Have Have you tried um have you have you used visual intelligence on your iPhone
1:13:56
too much i haven't used it a lot Although I have been trying to make myself use it Well first of all to even
1:14:01
remember that it's there Um and then try to use it But it's it's kind of you got to retrain yourself to think of these
1:14:08
tools when you're in these different situations because they don't always come to me right away Anytime like I need to scan text or anything I don't
1:14:15
open the camera for any any like that I I train myself to like use visual intelligence for like you know all the
1:14:22
camera based stuff that that doesn't involve actually like taking a picture or video So like it's getting better Like I I had to um my oven burner or
1:14:30
whatever No not the oven Like the that the heater element inside my oven has been broken a while So I was like you know trying to scan like model numbers
1:14:36
or something off of stickers and like it used to be like if the text is at a slight angle and it won't work or
1:14:42
anything like that But it's getting even better every time Like it it is pretty reliable when I when I had to scan like
1:14:47
a big long serial number and paste it into Google I do that too actually I'll use my camera and then use the like the
1:14:54
optical image recognition and then like highlight the serial number or whatever and then go search for it I mean the
1:15:00
camera one works quite well I feel like and especially when the text is small I
1:15:06
can't see like dude I I probably need to get glasses to be honest with you like I need to go get my eyes checked like I'm holding things dude I'm getting full Tim
1:15:13
Tim Cook if anything's like more than like or less than like 10 inches away from my face squinty as can be Um and
1:15:19
the writing some oftentimes is just too small I can't see it anymore Um in fact it's annoying because like when I wake
1:15:24
up at night now I'll look at my watch and like sometimes I can't see my watch and I'm like "Ah god this sucks." I
1:15:31
remember when I could like just look at things and see them and now I can't do that all the time Open to my world I know man I uh I feel for you now I had
1:15:39
no empathy for you at all but now I have a little bit I'm glad you've opened your heart
1:15:45
Um but the iPhone has been such a crucial tool for like taking um pictures of things that
1:15:53
are hard to read because like they're just not in a in a place where you can see them or they're too small Like I wanted to get a serial number off my TV
1:15:59
which was pressed against the walls I slid my iPhone in there and took a picture of it Then I could read all the text on the back of it Like super super
1:16:05
useful All right we got one more No no chance for the rebuttal on the Oh no No
1:16:10
Go for it You got something to add that longtime thing Okay let's get back to that So okay sure I I get it The actual
1:16:18
name of the song Foreplaytime right so you go to the music app you type in Longtime Boston
1:16:26
What's the top result foreplaytime by Boston Third on you know fourth fifth on the list is Longtime Live by Boston My
1:16:34
my point is that it ought to be at least as smart as Siri ought to be at least as smart as that app And it ought to when
1:16:42
you specifically say not you know do not play the live version But that's the thing That's that's the problem with
1:16:47
Siri It has zero context It has no ability to do anything other than like
1:16:53
this is the one thing I have been told to do and I now do it stupidly And and
1:16:58
that's the problem That's the It's just when when Siri is worse than music app on the Mac then you know that Siri's in
1:17:04
a bad spot Yeah It's pathetic I mean it's uh Anyway and and whatever I don't
1:17:10
I wish I had recorded it because it was I mean you know talk about something stupid watching somebody you know it's
1:17:17
like it was almost like that scene from Curb Your Enthusiasm where he's yelling at Siri in his car that I was just so enraged like I tried like 10 times to
1:17:23
get it to just play the freaking studio version and it just kept playing some other something that honestly I it
1:17:30
didn't even sound anything like like I don't know I don't know how it misinterpreted my language to come up
1:17:36
with whatever it did And I have that happen all the time on uh Apple TV too You know it's like Oh on the Apple TV Oh
1:17:41
okay The Apple TV for some reason seems to get things pretty pretty correct for
1:17:46
me I don't know I still have times where I like say "Hey play this thing." And no can't be done But but the dictation
1:17:53
anyway you know at some point Apple's going to flip the switch and there's going to be an inflection point and we're going to go from Siri in its
1:17:59
current state to the new whatever And it's going to be absolutely incredible I
1:18:05
mean it's going to be like chat GPT again like in its ability to understand what you're saying Sure hope so I mean
1:18:11
even when I misspell things or misspeak or mistype I should say to chat GPT it still knows what I'm talking about Man
1:18:17
it's incredible Unlike Siri where I can master every jot and tit and it still
1:18:25
has absolutely no idea what I'm talking about right it's it's ch I mean it's it's lack of context context awareness
1:18:31
is truly mindboggling Like it it will come up with context you'll be dictating to it It throws a word or two in there
1:18:37
that has absolutely nothing to do with what you're talking about and just does not know And the AI you know systems
1:18:44
that exist out there they're all so good They never do that Or they'll ask you like a follow-up question like "Did you
1:18:49
mean this or did you mean this?" Right that is what is so like I mean we I think we all knew Siri had its problems
1:18:56
but I mean once chat GPT came around you're like "Oh my god." Like the difference is it's just astonishing the
1:19:04
difference between what those two voice interfaces can do Yeah And and the more you use it the more you realize how far
1:19:10
Apple is behind Now maybe they've got some magic card up their sleeve I know TC um just his aggression alone is
1:19:17
enough to get people to whip into shape But when you see how far ahead these companies are I mean even Google again
1:19:24
with the IIO man like even Google was behind and then all of a sudden out of nowhere boom Hey you can now just use a
1:19:31
prompt and create you know any piece of visual media that you want I don't know if you guys have seen like the videos floating around like the super ironic
1:19:38
meta videos of people um they're creating videos of of of
1:19:46
people talking about like these conspiracy theories that that their whole world is basically just based on a
1:19:51
prompt and they're talking to each other and they're like they're like can you believe that some people believe that this whole world is just created by a
1:19:58
prompt and that's all we are is just people created by prompts and like and that's actually the truth and the videos
1:20:04
are so you know just realistic looking it's just unbelievable The other new
1:20:09
trend that I've been seeing is people making videos of content creators like
1:20:16
basically doing anything to like get clicks right so like one of the videos I saw was was a guy who's like "Here we
1:20:22
are at the top of some volcano." He's like "I'm going to jump into this hot lava pool Yahoo." And he like jumps off
1:20:28
and like splashes into the lava And all these people doing things that would kill you but they're willing to try them
1:20:33
because they want to get the clicks right like these alternate realities that exist inside of like these video
1:20:41
worlds that are created from prompts So mind-blowing dude I mean yeah it's like serious Matrix stuff right there And it
1:20:48
it makes me want to spend the money on Google on Google is like I think you have to buy like their AI ultra plan
1:20:54
which is half price for three months is 125 bucks and then it goes up to 250 a month um to get access to like their
1:21:02
newest video creation tools But I mean the amount of imagineering that went
1:21:07
into this to some of these tools to to be able to actually prompt your way through like a video timeline truly cool
1:21:14
All right let's do one last one Um this is Alan from Jolly Old England Ready
1:21:23
hello Eon Lewis and Griffin This is Alan from the UK call in again I had a
1:21:29
message read out the first time you you did that segment about my HomePod that had packed in Um just to keep you up to
1:21:37
date on that um I spent several weeks slumming it with uh one HomePod a mono
1:21:43
HomePod like an animal And I finally decided I would take the plunge I don't even know if I want to listen to the
1:21:49
rest of this message I feel like he's about to redeem himself But just hearing that he only had one HomePod was enough
1:21:54
to make me want to turn it off My broken one off to the repairers Oh good Well uh
1:22:00
in less than a week for £99 I got it back today plugged it in initialized it
1:22:06
added it back to the stereo pair and wow it is fantastic Again I think this is
1:22:13
probably the best 99 I've spent in a very long time So Eon if you haven't
1:22:18
done it yet what is stopping you man you can get that HomePod back in action as beautiful as the day you first heard it
1:22:26
Thanks very much for the great show guys Bye Cheerio Allan Wow he did it 99 99 99
1:22:32
uh uh pounds O that's a lot of money But
1:22:37
this only illustrates how much people love their HomePods their original HomePods There's
1:22:42
just nothing like them My my two sweet angels that I have I still have one It's
1:22:48
right behind me Um the other one is still broken What has stopped me from getting it repaired um
1:22:54
only lack of action and maybe some laziness because there's a guy who lives
1:23:00
maybe 20 minutes from me who um can repair it He repairs HomePods for a
1:23:05
living In fact if you're in the US I've talked about him before Like his main business is just repairing HomePods and
1:23:12
he knows all the things that go wrong with them He's built interfaces for them so you can actually like reinstall the
1:23:17
software I mean the guy is like a HomePod m magician I need to get that done man I need to I need to finally you
1:23:24
motivated me I need to get in there and actually get the work done because I also miss my HomePod I'm I'm I'm living
1:23:30
with two minis right now and it's it's just not the same In fact I often just connect to the one HomePod behind me And
1:23:36
um yeah so Dark Darth Inkling can he fix the death bar yes he can fix he can fix it all Well I should caveat I have heard
1:23:44
him say there are some problems that he can't fix Um but I don't I I don't know
1:23:51
that that's one of the ones that he can't fix because I think that one was one of the common ones Um and drop it
1:23:56
off before you go on your you know month-long vacation Maybe I should be ready when it'll be back Yeah I wanted
1:24:02
to make a video So like the thing that was stalling me is like I wanted to like go down there take some camera equipment
1:24:07
make the video and then I was like "Oh man I don't have time to like do all this stuff." So I just haven't done it
1:24:13
Um but Pro What's that but you have a new MacBook Pro Haven't you made a new
1:24:18
video i know Well now I've got that piece in place And you got you have enough cameras though That's the I'm
1:24:24
concerned Three or four more cameras and and operators for said said cameras
1:24:30
with lighting crew And the lighting crew Don't forget like the the grip guys and the sound guys and the makeup artist I
1:24:36
mean and craft services I mean there's a whole you know there's a whole series of events that has to happen here but I do
1:24:43
want to get him to repair it And uh I'm hoping that he can repair it It sounds like mine is one of the ones that just
1:24:48
has a software issue but he did say sometimes there is a hardware issue that causes the software not to install
1:24:53
correctly So but um I will give you guys an update as soon as as soon as I have
1:24:59
that work done Okay I think that's it That's all the
1:25:05
cult we have for you guys this week But you know what griffin and Lewis and a
1:25:12
special guest will be back next week Not me I'll be in Georgia and then in
1:25:17
Florida listening to the show maybe tuning in live if we have a live show We'll see how that goes But I'll look
1:25:23
forward to seeing you all again in three weeks But this has been the Cold Cast the best 30 plus minute album conversation you're going to hear all
1:25:29
week long New episodes of the Cast come out every Thursday night I want to thank everyone for listening for hanging out
1:25:34
live and we will see you guys Well I won't but you're going to live as
1:25:40
well Next time maybe I can call you guys from next week's episode listeners because there's
1:25:46
going to be the predictions game next week Got to call in for that I mean I
1:25:51
don't mind calling in but as long as you don't mind this song in the background
1:25:57
it's a small world after all You're going to be hearing Molly Hatchet man And you're going down to Gator country
1:26:05
You know what hey if you use um if you use uh video I can call in
1:26:10
from my iPhone and we can use the video from my iPhone I mean good luck figuring out how that works but you could you
1:26:16
could you could submit the Google form and and and be in there right with the rest of the Oh yeah Or you can do that Do
1:26:21
async We could do that too I'll figure something out I should probably Yeah I should probably do that
1:26:28
Or maybe I can just call in from my computer or something I don't know We'll see Anyway it's the funnest time
1:26:34
of the year That's true Prediction game week All right everyone I'm hurling
1:26:40
towards the endream button as we speak Have a great weekend Bye y'all
