First Look: iPhone 16 & 16 Plus Showcase Sleek Changes

Well, let's go ahead and talk about iPhone 16 then because we talked about this robot thing for way too long

I guess there is one last thing I would say, actually, to put the bow on, to fix the bow

That is, to your point about it being like a big product category where they're going to make tons of money

I also think this one seems kind of bizarre. Like this one doesn't seem like it's it to me

But we haven't seen what they are going to produce. But just that category in general, I don't think it's going to be a huge barn burner for them

I know that T.C. likes to burn down the barns. I don't think this is going to be it for him

But I guess we'll see. I'm interested to see what they do there

This is a small feature upgrade in the iPhone, or I guess a small change

I actually think that this is going to be a nice one, and I'm excited about it. Who's talking about it

Okay. Go ahead. So iPhone 16 dummy units are now giving us a glimpse of upcoming changes

Images of the iPhone 16 dummy units have been published by a tipster with an established record

They show the redesigned camera hump reportedly coming in the two non-pro iPhone models this year

as well as other changes. These are posted on X, your favorite social media platform

Oh, Sunny Dixon's still doing it. Sonny Dixon, yeah. Oldly, not old, old time, experienced, long-standing

He might be old. point he's been around forever I think he's in 50s now

so these dummy units they are mockups that show all four upcoming

iPhones from both front and from the back and from the sides

you know calling it a leak is I don't know I mean I don't know the provenance of these

things but so this this basically pulls together all the sort of rumors we've heard so far and it's

maybe the biggest one that you're referring to is that the camera hump on the iPhone

16 and 16 plus will do about half the current width with the LED flash moved outside the camera hump and the design uh would feature the two lens one on top of each other makes it kind of look like the iPhone 10 or iPhone 10 right I always wanted to say iPhone X I like the sound of that I allow either iPhone 10 Yep One of these images also shows that the customizable action button that premiered in the iPhone 15 Pro

will appear on all the 224 models. We've heard that is happening

Yeah. Apple makes a habit, of course. They love to do that

Trickle-down technology, right? Trouble. You got to get the pro this year

Then next year you get the other things. that the pro had on the regular model

These things also show the capture button that we've heard about. This would be on the right side of all four models

Now, that's kind of surprising, I guess. Okay. We still don't really know what that's going to do

Butthens along with this thing now. Capture, I mean, what could it possibly do

Could it possibly capture things like video, like spatial video, that would require, for instance, the phone cameras to be lined up the way they are

The way you piece these things together. It's truly a sight to see

Yeah. Yeah, it is, isn't it? Anyway, so it's basically all the latest rumors in, you know, dummy form

I don't know what they're made of. I can't tell. Looks like metal. Looks like a slug. Well, I mean, there was a rumor this week that it's going to be, well, at least the pro models are going to be made out of titanium

I don't know if it's going to be all iPhones, but I actually got the story conflated with that one

and instead of brushed titanium, Lewis, you'll never guess what they're going to do

Lewis, they're going to polish it and not brush it. Oh, so it'll be even slipperier

Yeah, well, yeah, shoot right out of your hand. But it won't matter because it's going to be made out of titanium

You can do whatever you want to that thing. Completely unbreakable. I actually like polished titanium a lot more

I just, you know, like the brushed look. you don't like it

It reminds me of, yeah, it reminds me of an older era of Mac

and OS design that I just didn't really love. I like the polish look better

And so I put this on for padding to protect me from those I sorry brushed titanium edges The brushed titanium was chafing you It was chafing It just like I don know it like gripping a you know this metal chunk of metal

Maybe you should take a look at these mag safe pop sockets

because then it's like a, you know, you're all familiar with the pop sockets, a little, little thing

that like pops out of the hand. Yeah, I have one around here somewhere. Have your fingers around. Yeah. They have new ones that it just

attached to the magsafe puck on the bank. Yeah. And that way you wouldn't have to grip it around the edge

You could just, you know, thread it through your fingers like that. Although they say that you shouldn't attach those directly to your phone

Isn't that interesting? What? They tell you to attach them to a case

And I wonder if that's because the magnet in those pop so strong that there's a chance

it could damage your phone. I don't know if that's it. But they do recommend that you attach it to a case and not directly to your phone

which I thought was odd. Lewis is on the iPhone upgrade program. So it doesn't matter to him. Yeah, you can literally punt that thing into the air

and just let it drop wherever, like a lawn dart. Just don't look up. I got to say, it's just so big

I, you know, I'm going to have to shift back the other side's phone. I don't care what features they have next to this this year

And I got to say, the thing is slippery as a banana peel. It slides off of anything

I've had it slide off of, you know, just tables. Just sitting there, just, whoop
