Hey, what's up guys, I'm Steve with Kult of Mac and the Let Us Loop You In event has
0:03
just wrapped, so I'm going to loop you in with everything they announced
0:07
Let's get started. Apple spent 20 minutes before getting into any of the products, talking about its fight
0:12
with the FBI, its initiatives for a greener future, introducing us to their new toy Liam
0:18
which separates iPhone components to be recycled, and listing a host of new health kit companions
0:23
When that was all out of the way, they finally got to the products. First up are some new Apple watch bands
0:29
There's a new woven nylon band, which doesn't look particularly pretty, with some wacky
0:33
colours they've put together which reminds me of those ugly 5C cases they released a
0:36
couple years ago. Along with some new sport and leather bands in different colours including yellow, teal
0:41
and red, as well as a Milanese loop in black. But the biggest news with the Apple watch is that it's dropped its price by $100, starting
0:47
at $299. The event then moved on to the iPhone, announcing the iPhone SE officially for the first time
0:54
Although if you saw our Let Us Loop You In videos, you would already know what it's called
0:58
It looks almost exactly the same as the iPhone 5s, but with completely new internals except
1:03
for the 4 inch retina display. The SE features Apple's A9 processor from the 6s and 6s plus, along with the M9 motion co-processor
1:12
Meaning it's just as fast as the 6s and enables the always on Hey Siri
1:16
The SE also packs the latest Touch ID scanner, NFC connectivity for Apple Pay, a 12 megapixel
1:22
rear camera with live photos and the ability to shoot 4K. Up front, it features a 5 megapixel front facing camera with retina flash, a 1440 mAh
1:31
battery, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi calling and faster LTE. It's pretty much exactly the same design as the iPhone 5s, only with a matte finish around
1:40
the edges and a stainless steel Apple logo just like the iPhone 6s
1:45
The iPhone SE is available for pre-order this Thursday with delivery starting on March 31st
1:50
Along with the iPhone SE, Apple also announced a new addition to the iPad Pro lineup, sporting
1:55
a 9.7 inch retina display, taking the Pro name instead of the usual Air title
2:00
It's got the same 4 speaker audio setup as it's larger Pro brother, with a screen that's
2:04
25% brighter, 25% greater colour saturation and 40% less reflectivity than the iPad Air 2
2:12
It also features some very cool True Tone technology which matches the ambient light wherever you are
2:16
It also features the best camera ever for an iPad, with the same 12 megapixel sensor
2:21
found on the iPhone 6s, plus a rear flash. Which is actually better than the larger 12.9 inch iPad Pro's camera
2:28
The new iPad Pro Mini or whatever you want to call it, also has Apple Pencil support
2:32
and a smart connector for an all new 9.7 inch smart keyboard. Powering all those pixels is a 64 bit A9X chip, with all the usual support for iOS features
2:41
including Apple Pay, Touch ID and Bluetooth 4.2. The 9.7 inch iPad Pro is also available for pre-order on March 24th, for shipping on March 31st
2:50
On top of all the new product releases, iOS 9.3, tvOS 9.2 and watchOS 2.2 are now available
