Hey what's up guys, StephenCultOfMac here and I've noticed you guys are enjoying the
0:04
more personal videos at the moment such as the what's on my iPhone video
0:08
So with that in mind I thought to give you a little tour of my office as I've recently refreshed most of the room
0:13
I'll also make sure to leave links for as many products as I can find down in the description below
0:18
So if we start with the desks as they are my latest upgrade of sorts, these are the
0:22
Limman IKEA desks. They are really inexpensive which meant I could afford to get 3 to go around my room
0:28
allowing me to have more space for filming and editing all of these videos. If we start on the left of my desk and work our way around, you'll see that my 2015 MacBook
0:35
Pro Retina currently lives here for when I'm multitasking and is just an easy place to
0:39
grab it from for when I need to edit on the move. Just behind it I've got a stand holding my iPad mini along with a spare 6 plus case and
0:45
some headphones. Further along the desk we have my current workhorse. This is a mid 2011 27 inch iMac with the 2.7GHz i5 processor and 12GB of RAM
0:56
I've had this Mac for a fair few years now and it's beginning to slow me down
1:00
So as of next week I'll be upgrading to a Mac Pro so I can save some time and create
1:03
more videos. The iMac itself is sitting on this Grovemade monitor stand which I think really helps to
1:09
add a little contrast to the setup. I've also got a few other Grovemade office accessories such as the mousepad and keyboard
1:14
holder, a desk lamp and a pen holder. Just underneath my iMac I've got various hard drives which I'm constantly swapping out making
1:21
it near impossible to hide all of my wires. On the side of the iMac I've got the Bose Companion 2 speakers which I really love
1:28
They sound great, the volume is amazing and they're relatively cheap. Sure they're not the sexiest speakers on the market but they do everything I need
1:37
To the right of my main setup I've got the Finlux 40 inch LED TV which I mainly use as
1:41
a second monitor hooked up to my iMac which is really helpful to have some more real estate
1:46
to have open multiple windows and tabs. But hiding behind the TV is my PS4 so I can switch over when I need some downtime or am
1:53
waiting for a video to render. Moving along I've got my current mic of choice, the Rode NT-USB
2:00
I've had this microphone for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it
2:04
So if you're looking for a fairly priced mic for your voiceovers or even for recording
2:08
music whether that's for instruments or singing have a look into it
2:12
Then I've got my 9.7 inch iPad Pro which is sitting on the Xperia Boomerang desk stand
2:17
Both of which I've covered in previous videos so I'll leave links to both of those in the description down below also
2:22
I've made somewhat an attempt to tidy up my cables by using these cable management systems
2:26
which still need to be mounted up into the desk to help hide all of the wires
2:31
On the opposite side of the room I've got some more storage in the form of this Kallax shelving unit again from Ikea
2:36
I've currently got all of the Apple boxes I've managed to collect over the years on them but I'm planning to have these on some shelves above as soon as I get round to putting
2:42
them up. In the two grey boxes below I've got some wires and filming gear just so it's all out
2:47
of the way. And using the two empty squares to display yet some more boxes along with my iPhone 2G
2:53
and second generation iPod. At the very bottom sits my record player along with some records I've been listening to lately
2:59
To the right of that I've got the Ikea Malm drawers to hide some more paperwork, more
3:03
wires and then some of the products coming up to review. Then finally at the back of the room I've got a sofa bed for relaxing on or for whenever
3:10
I've got friends and family staying over. Again the back wall is looking a little bare as this is where my desk used to live before
3:16
I moved everything around. So I need to get some Apple related artwork in here
3:21
Well that's it guys, that's my entire setup. Let me know in the comments down below what you think and if you've made any videos showing
3:27
off your setup make sure to link them down below as I'd love to check them out
3:31
