Hey what's up guys, Stephen Coults of Mac here and in this video I'm talking you through
0:04
the big updates for the first developer beta of WatchOS 3.2. So let's get started
0:14
There are two big updates that are likely to have the biggest day to day impact on your Apple Watch experience
0:18
The first of these is Siri support for third party watch apps. The SiriKit framework arrived on iOS 10 last year and has now made it over to Apple's wearable platform
0:26
It allows developers to make their apps better by incorporating Siri interactions for things like messaging, booking rides, searching photos and more
0:33
We'll obviously have to wait a while to see how this one plays out, but it's definitely something a lot of people are rightly enthusiastic about
0:39
The other big update and one I can show you today is the new theatre mode a lot of people incorrectly thought would arrive on iOS 10.3
0:45
Theatre mode puts your Apple Watch into silent mode and then keeps the screen dark until you tap it or press the digital crown or side button
0:51
However you will still get alerts via haptic feedback which you can then easily read
0:55
So it's not the same as turning your watch off altogether. Both of these updates are ones I personally appreciate as an Apple Watch user and are
1:01
gradually helping make the watch more functional and useful in everyday life. Well that's it for this video, but let me know in the comments down below what improvements
1:09
you'd still like to see Apple make. Also if you're on the lookout for new Apple Watch bands, make sure to check out Cult of
