The sale is on the USB-C version, not the older Lightning model, so it’s a great opportunity to upgrade.

For many people, the Apple Magic Mouse is a no-brainer. You use a Mac, so of course you use the official Apple mouse. It shows up regularly in our setups posts. And it helps that the input device is beautiful — so slim and sleek with no unsightly buttons or ports. It doesn’t need a scroll wheel, either, as the mouse offers trackpad-style swiping and scrolling gestures.

Plus, the Bluetooth device no longer uses Apple’s old Lightning charging port. Now it comes with a USB-C port, so it charges with the same cable as a MacBook or other Apple device.

It works with your Mac, MacBook and iPad, and is trim enough to go where you need it, fitting easily in a backpack or even a pocket.

The port’s on the bottom, but at least it’s USB-C

All that said, the Apple Magic Mouse certainly has detractors. The most notable criticism is that it maintains its sleek appearance by putting the charging port on the bottom, so the input device can’t be used while juicing up.

The version in black is not part of this sale, and it always costs more. Still, Amazon dropped the price by 5%, so it sets you back $94 for Apple’s mouse in a noir color scheme.
