Apple Music and Apple TV just had their biggest month ever. That strong streaming performance added to a banner year for the collection of products that go under the heading of Apple services.

“2025 was a record-breaking year for Apple Services, marked by remarkable growth, global expansion, and continuous innovation,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, in a press release Monday.

Apple Music and Apple TV both broke records in 2025

While iPhone, Mac and other hardware get most of the attention from consumers, Apple services is the fast-growing part of the company. It includes offerings such as Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, iCloud, Apple Fitness+, Apple News+, Apple Pay and the App Store. These are all designed to deepen engagement across Apple’s ecosystem and keep customers coming back for more devices.

On Monday, Eddy Cue touted what a strong year his department enjoyed in 2025, starting with streaming services.

“Apple TV eclipsed all prior viewership records in December 2025, while Apple Music reached all-time highs in both listenership and new subscribers,” he said.

The press release said the success was driven by hit flicks F1: The Movie and The Family Plan 2, as well as 1965 Peanuts classic A Charlie Brown Christmas and new sci-fi show Pluribus, which it called Apple TV’s “biggest series to date.”

App Store and Apple Pay stay strong

The App Store, which is critical to iPhone users, has been a huge success since its launch in 2008. And it continued to thrive in 2025, despite increasing regulation that seeks to open up the iPhone to alternatives.

“The App Store alone saw over 850 million average weekly users globally, with developers earning over $550 billion on our platform since 2008,” said Cue.

Apple Pay is another hit for the company. The secure digital wallet lets users make fast, contactless payments in stores, online and in apps using their iPhone, Apple Watch or other Apple devices. And Apple users seem to like it.

“Purchases made through Apple Pay significantly outpaced the overall growth in consumer spending levels during the peak holiday shopping period in November and December,” Cue said.

Apple Pay also helps customers in other ways, according to Cue. It eliminated “well over” $1 billion in fraud, he said, while generating more than $100 billion in incremental merchant sales globally.
