Apple’s first touchscreen Mac finally hits stores today. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display go on sale today, Friday, November 6, alongside three other new products: the OLED iPad mini, the M6 iMac and an M6 version of the regular 14-inch MacBook Pro.

Apple announced all five across three days last month, wrapping up with its “Pro and Tell” event in Los Angeles on October 28.

MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display

This is the device launching today that will steal all the spotlight.

After years of Apple executives dismissing the idea, the new MacBook Pro is the first Mac with a touch display. It’s also the first MacBook Pro with a tandem OLED panel, which Apple calls PROLED XDR. \The 14.2-inch and 16.3-inch screens go up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness for both HDR and SDR content, with a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Besides a touch display, the touchscreen MacBook Pro features a slimmer and lighter chassis that makes it easier to carry. The 14-inch model weighs 3.0 pounds, down from about 3.5 pounds for the non-touch M5 Pro model. The 16-inch drops from 4.7 to 4.0 pounds. Both are a little thinner too, at 0.59 and 0.63 inches, respectively.

The OLED MacBook Pro also brings Dynamic Island to the Mac and marks the return of the glowing Apple logo. Somehow, Apple also managed to make the sound quality even better, with deeper bass and clearer highs.

The 14-inch model starts at $2,899 with M5 Pro, and $4,499 with M5 Max. The 16-inch starts at $3,399.

If you don’t need the touch or OLED panel, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 chip is the safer buy. It delivers up to 30% faster graphics performance than its predecessor. Plus, it can now drive two external 4K displays at up to 165Hz.

Apart from the faster and more capable M6 chip, it gets Apple’s in-house N1 wireless chip for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread.

Pricing starts at $1,999 with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Apple gave the iPad mini its biggest redesign and upgrade in years. It gets a larger 8.5-inch OLED panel (with an optional nano-texture finish), upgraded speakers and the A20 Pro chip—all inside a 5.4 mm-thin body featuring IP67 water and dust resistance.

Unfortunately, these upgrades come with a higher starting price. The OLED iPad Mini costs $699, making it $150 more expensive than the previous model. The mini tablet comes in midnight and starlight shades with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The 24-inch iMac skips M5 entirely and jumps from M4 to M6, with up to a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU. Other upgrades include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, optional 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, faster storage and support for two external 6K displays.

More importantly, this upgrade comes without a higher starting price. So you can get the M6 iMac for as low as $1,499.

If you ordered the new MacBook Pro, the OLED iPad Mini or the M6 iMac, your package should arrive today. If you didn’t, all five are now available at Apple Stores and authorized resellers, so you can pick one up in person.
