Apple TV is giving subscribers another reason to stay in and watch a movie this month. The service just added 15 more popular Hollywood movies to its catalog, and they’re included with an Apple TV subscription at no additional charge.

This seems to be a new habit by the streamer: it offered a bunch of big-name Hollywood hits in August, too. Subscribers surely welcome Apple TV expanding beyond its usual lineup of original shows and movies.

Apple TV built its reputation on top-quality original series with hits like Ted Lasso, Severance and The Morning Show. But that focus can also be limiting: subscribers can burn through the relatively small library of originals and then have to look elsewhere for older movies and familiar favorites. Adding popular Hollywood classics gives subscribers a broader catalog to choose from.

The new additions include Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Superbad, Easy A and Mamma Mia! The Movie. There are also more serious choices such as Zero Dark Thirty, Master and Commander, Troy and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Apple TV keeps adding/removing classic movies

The classic films now available through Apple’s streaming service normally cost several dollars to rent or considerably more to buy. But these titles are instead being offered as part of an Apple TV subscription, so subscribers don’t have to pay anything beyond their regular monthly fee.

But don’t procrastinate — it is likely you have only a month to watch them.

As noted, Apple TV added a collection of popular movies for subscribers to watch for free last month, too. These are no longer free, but once again available only to rent or buy. It’s likely the same will be true of the ones added on September 1.

Enjoy!

To start watching, open the Apple TV app, hit the Home button in the left column then look for what’s listed under Great Movies Available Now on Apple.  (If you’re asked to pay to watch a film, you’re in the wrong section.)

The complete list of 15 movies newly available to subscribers in the U.S. is:

  • Mamma Mia! The Movie
  • School of Rock
  • War of the Worlds
  • Superbad
  • Master and Commander
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
  • The Social Network
  • Troy
  • A League of Their Own
  • Easy A
  • The Wolf of Wall Street
  • Zero Dark Thirty
  • Her
  • The Informant!
  • Definitely, Maybe

Films remaining from August include A Beautiful Mind,  I, Robot, The Sixth Sense and more.

The current batch is available to viewers in the U.S. Just note that Apple TV’s movie offerings can differ considerably in other markets.
