A new set of leaked images purporting to show Apple’s long-rumored folding iPhone surfaced online Sunday, offering what a tipster claims is a closer look at the device’s final design.
The camera hump has supposedly shrunk considerably. Take a look:
New images of folding iPhone highlight refined, premium look
Rumors of the first folding iPhone began circulating months ago, and CAD drawings of the device that could finally break Apple away from traditional “slab” handsets supposedly leaked in March.
Then on Sunday, leaker Majin Bu posted several images on X of what appears to be a prototype or high-fidelity dummy unit of Apple’s upcoming foldable. According to the tipster, the design looks “more beautiful than the previous one,” highlighting refinements over earlier leaked images.

The standout difference between these latest images and the ones from March is that the camera hump appears significantly smaller than before. The back panel also looks different.
The post by Majin Bu includes three new images supposedly showing the folding iPhone. A fourth image shows one of the previous CAD drawings from March:

More about the foldable iPhone
According to numerous leaks, the folding iPhone design Apple chose features a book-style folding mechanism, opening horizontally to reveal a larger, tablet-like inner display. An outer display appears to function as a standard smartphone screen. The inner display expands into a larger canvas, potentially positioning the device as a hybrid between an iPhone and an iPad.

Previous rumors suggested that Apple is working hard to overcome durability concerns, particularly around display creasing and hinge longevity, before bringing such a product to market.
As with all leaks, the authenticity of the images cannot be independently verified. However, Majin Bu previously shared accurate details about unreleased Apple hardware, lending some credibility to his claims.
If the images are representative of Apple’s direction, the company might be aiming to compete directly with foldable devices from rivals like Samsung, while emphasizing design polish and build quality. And, of course, iOS 27 will include significant changes to run on a foldable, including the addition of side-by-side multitasking.
For now, the various images offer intriguing glimpses at what could become one of Apple’s most significant hardware shifts in years, should the company decide the technology is ready for the mainstream.
