You can now preorder the iPhone Duo from Apple. The company’s first foldable iPhone will reach customers and Apple Stores in a week, on Friday, October 23.
In the initial launch wave, the iPhone Duo will be available in more than 70 countries and regions. Another 28 countries will get the foldable on October 30.
Update: Delivery times for the Duo have already slipped to mid-November within minutes of the preorders going live.
Update 2: iPhone Duo delivery times in the U.S. reached mid- December half an hour after the foldable went on sale.
Update: 3: After an hour, Duo delivery dates slipped to late January.
Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and AirPods 5 at its September iPhone event. While the iPhone 18 Pro went up for preorder and launched the same month, the iPhone Duo arrives more than a month after its unveiling.
With a starting price of $1,999 in the U.S. for 256GB of storage, the iPhone Duo is Apple’s priciest iPhone yet. The 512GB configuration costs $2,199, while the 1TB version costs $2,599. There’s also a 2TB variant with an eye-watering $3,199 price tag.
Alongside the Duo, you can also preorder Apple’s iPhone Duo Case for $79 or the iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand for $129.

Unlike the iPhone 18 Pro, which comes in four colors, the iPhone Duo comes in just two: star white and night sky. It’s also an eSIM-only device worldwide, so you can’t use a physical SIM card.
Despite the high price tag, Apple will likely sell a lot of iPhone Duo units. So, try to get your preorder in early. Otherwise, you might have to wait for a while to get your hands on Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
Don’t skip AppleCare+
If you are getting the iPhone Duo, spend extra and get AppleCare+ coverage as well. It costs $19.99 per month or $199.99 if paid upfront for one year. That will significantly reduce the cost of any repairs.
Without AppleCare+, Apple charges $999 for the inner screen replacement, while the outer screen repair costs $379. Any other repair will set you back by $1,499. Even something as simple as getting the cover screen layer replaced will cost $49.
With AppleCare+, these prices drop significantly: $99 for the inner display, $29 for the outer screen and $19 for a replacement cover layer.
HomeView, Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2
The iPhone Duo isn’t the only new Apple device you can preorder right now. Apple opened preorders for its new home lineup on October 13, following its “Welcome home” launch.
The HomePod mini 2 arrives first, on October 30. It costs $149, $50 more than the original, with a powerful S10 chip and new colors. The HomeView smart home hub and the new Apple TV 4K with an A19 chip both cost $299 and ship on November 13.
