Apple released macOS Tahoe 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, watchOS 26.3 and tvOS 26.3 on Wednesday, delivering a round of bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements aimed at smoothing out the experience across its devices. While the updates don’t introduce splashy new features, they target stability issues and performance hiccups that have surfaced since the launch of the 26 cycle.

These come at the same time as iOS 26.3, which does include new features along with bug removal. (Read our news article: iOS 26.3 brings these 3 changes to your iPhone.)

Your Mac needs macOS Tahoe 26.3

macOS updates can bring major changes to Apple computers. There are sometimes new applications, sweeping changes to the user interface, and more. macOS Tahoe 26.3 is not one of those — it focuses entirely on bug fixes and security patches. There are no new features.

Still, Apple says the update removes a bug that’s bothered Mac users for months: “Window resize pointer does not follow the window’s corner shape.” In other words, resizing windows just got easier.

iPadOS 26.3 and more

The same lack of new features also goes for iPadOS 26.3. Apple’s release notes make it clear that tablet users shouldn’t expect noticeable changes: “This update provides important bug fixes and security updates” is all it has to say.

Users of Apple Watch, Apple TV and Vision Pro should expect equally minor updates.

Install these updates anyway

A lack of new features is disappointing, but don’t dismiss macOS Tahoe 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, etc. Given the focus on bug fixes and security improvements, users would be wise to install them sooner rather than later.

Even without headline features, these maintenance releases often deliver the kind of polish that keeps Apple’s ecosystem running smoothly. Don’t put up with bugs longer than you have to.

To download the macOS Tahoe update, go to Apple menu  > About This Mac. Then click Software Update. Alternatively, install the new version from the App Store. (Note: At the time of this writing, Apple had not yet updated the version of macOS in the App Store. But it should happen soon.)

iPad users can install iPadOS 26.3 directly by opening the Settings app and going to General > Software Update. Alternatively, update your tablet by connecting it to a Mac (or to a PC running iTunes).

The watchOS update can be installed directly onto an Apple Watch, as long as the wearable is connected to Wi-Fi. From the Settings app, just navigate to General > Software Update. Or you can install it from an iPhone by opening the Apple Watch app and going to My Watch > General > Software Update.

To get the tvOS update, start by navigating to the Settings app on Apple TV. Then click through to System, then click on Software Updates, then click on Update Software.

And Vision Pro users might need the Cult of Mac guide on how to update visionOS.

You are recommending an update that causes more problems than it fixes. For many, WiFi connectivity remains an issue, as it has been since Tahoe went live. For me, after upgrading from 26.2 to 26.3 the ethernet shows as connected, but does not connect to the Internet. WiFi is not an issue, thankfully, since it is the only way I can currently connect my MacBook Pro to the Internet (without using my iPhone as a hotspot). Every other computer on my network is working just fine. This is an example of poor testing and quality assurance. I’ve been an IT professional for 42 years, if my team released an update this bad my career would rapidly come to an end.
