Apple TV picked up a pair of prestigious Peabody Awards Thursday for hit drama Pluribus and documentary Come See Me in the Good Light. People think of the awards as the Pulitzer Prizes of radio, TV and online media.
Peabody Awards go to Apple TV’s Pluribus and Come See Me in the Good Light
The hit genre-bending sci-fi drama Pluribus took a Peabody Awards‘ Entertainment prize, while the documentary Come See Me in the Good Light claimed a Documentary win, Apple TV said. The Peabodies recognize excellence in storytelling that reflects social issues and emerging voices. This year’s honorees will celebrate on Sunday, May 31, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. The wins burnish Apple TV’s reputation for quality, too. See the whole list of winners.

The Peabody win is the latest in a string of honors for Apple’s most-viewed drama, Pluribus. It also saw lead actress Rhea Seehorn win Best Actress in a Drama at the Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Satellite Awards. And it scored an American Film Institute Award for TV Program of the Year.
The series follows Seehorn’s character Carol, a miserably unhappy romantasy author. She feels obligated to save the world from happiness after an interstellar event creates hive-mind harmony among most humans. The darkly comic premise has clearly resonated with critics and award voters alike.
The show also earned nominations from the BAFTA TV Awards, Producers Guild Awards, Writers Guild Awards and GLAAD Media Awards, among others.

The film also made the National Board of Review’s Top 5 Documentaries of 2025 list and won Outstanding Non-Fiction Feature at the Cinema Eye Honors. And it won the Sundance Film Festival Favorite Award and received nominations from the Academy Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, Film Independent Spirit Awards and American Society of Cinematographers Awards.
