Hey guys, Stephen Cults of Mac here and this video is a little bit different to usual
0:07
I've managed to get my hands on some exclusive iPhone 8 plans that I've leaked supposedly
0:11
straight from one of the factories manufacturing Apple's next generation smartphone. I've also got some pictures of some new cases for the iPhone 8 and I've gone one
0:19
step further. So let's get started. So here's the .STP file I received from the good folks at case manufacturers YesGo
0:26
As you can see it looks almost identical to a lot of the other leaks we've seen over the past few weeks, which increases the likelihood that this is the final design of the iPhone 8
0:34
On the front of the phone we can see that the home button has gone the way of the headphone jack and has been removed completely
0:39
If we flip it over to the back, you'll notice there's no Touch ID scanner there either
0:43
A lot of people have been wondering if Apple will move the fingerprint scanner to the rear of the phone like on the Galaxy S8 and many other Android powered devices
0:50
But these leaks seem to confirm that it's likely going to be embedded beneath the iPhone
0:54
8's display. The only thing that's missing from this 3D model is the speaker cutout at the top
0:59
and the front facing cameras. But we know from similar leaks that have already been released that they'll be situated
1:04
at the top of the screen. Here we can also take a better look at the iPhone itself mocked up within it
1:11
YesGo claims that their cases are made in the same factory as bigger case manufacturers
1:15
such as Spec and Otterbox. Through their connections, they've come to know what the iPhone 8 will look like ahead
1:20
of time. Looking at 3D models on a computer is great. It means we can take a look at the iPhone in great detail and work out some of the features
1:28
But it also means that we can use them for 3D printing. Here is my first ever 3D printed, well, anything, thanks to CAD Creations 3D based in Birkenhead
1:38
England for printing these out. I've tried to paint them as best as I could to make them look more like an iPhone than
1:42
a 3D print, giving us a better visualisation of what the device will look like when it
1:46
goes on sale this September. The biggest noticeable difference on the 3D printout from the iPhone 7 is the screen size
1:52
and the dimensions of the phone itself. If I place my iPhone 7 on top, you can see that the iPhone 8 is coming in slightly larger
1:59
The iPhone 8's dimensions are 143.59 x 17.94 x 7.56mm thick, compared to the iPhone 7's
2:07
138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm thick. So the new model is slightly bigger overall and a tiny bit chunkier
2:16
Which I honestly won't mind if Apple has managed to stuff a larger battery inside
2:20
The display of the iPhone 8 will be a 5.8 inch OLED panel that spans the front of the
2:24
phone edge to edge. So not only will it be larger with next to no bezels, it'll also be brighter and more vivid
2:30
The volume buttons look identical to that of the iPhone 7, the only other differences
2:34
I can see is that the lock button is now slightly larger and of course that vertical camera
2:38
layout on the back. The camera is rumoured to feature both a wide angle lens with optical image stabilisation
2:43
and a telephoto lens similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. The vertical camera could mean better photos and perhaps even virtual reality features
2:52
Of course, Apple is supposedly testing around 10 different iPhone prototypes so this could
2:56
be just one of those. Or you know, it could well be the final thing
3:02
Well that is it for this video but let me know in the comments section down below what you think of this iPhone 8 leak
3:07
Does it get you excited for the iPhone 8 to come September? Do you like this design
