0:24
So here's everything Apple announced. The TVOS segment started pretty quickly and jumped right into the Apple T-V-O-S
0:30
app, which this coming fall will see the addition of user profiles
0:33
In the TV section, they also discussed the new lyrics feature within Apple Music
0:37
They also briefly touched on Apple Arcade and talked about the new introduction of support
0:42
for the Xbox 1S controller and the PlayStation 4 Dual Shock 4 controller
0:46
Next up in the keynote was watchOS with the addition of new watch faces
0:50
From there, they jumped into the Taptic Chimes. The big feature for watchOS was in the apps
0:54
They're finally adding a standalone apps store. They're also adding the ability for your Apple Watch to do standalone up
0:59
updates, meaning you don't need to use your iPhone to do updates on your Apple Watch. Apple's also moving a couple of their own apps to the Apple Watch, including audiobooks, the
1:06
voice memos app, the calculator, and then, as I said, the App Store. There are also some new health features coming to WatchOS, including a new noise detection
1:14
app, and a new cycles app for tracking women's menstrual cycles. The health app on the iPhone is also going to see some changes based on these new Apple Watch features
1:22
On iOS, we saw the introduction of iOS 13, with its main headlining feature being the
1:27
addition of dark mode. Apple also highlighted the new swipe keyboard, which they're calling QuickPath, as well as a restyled share sheet, which they didn't go into any details about, but they did have in a few screenshots
1:38
Safari saw some new text sizing options. Mail has improved formatting options, and the Notes app saw some minor UI changes

2:30
in a portrait mode photo. There's also a new look and feel to the editing of images on iOS, as well as those same editing
2:37
features coming to video, allowing you to rotate a video or apply a handful of different effects
2:42
There's also a new photos app on iOS with better filtering and refined views of days, weeks
2:47
months, years to see photos from different locations or photos that are important
2:51
based on time, as well as a bunch of new filtering options to remove things like screenshots
2:57
or pictures of documents from your photos library, so you only see the things that are most important
3:02
given the context that you're in. There's also a bunch of new Siri-related features coming to iOS
3:07
and iOS 13. With your AirPods, Siri can now read you your messages and allow you to respond
3:11
instantly without having to speak to the assistant to start that dialogue. Additionally, you can also
3:16
now share your audio from your iOS device to another iOS device so you and a friend or
3:21
everyone can listen to something together. The HomePod is also getting some new features. Chief among them is handoff support, allowing you to bring your iPhone near your home pod
3:29
and audio from your phone will now jump over to your HomePod. The HomePod is also getting live radio from IHeart Radio, Tuna Radio, and more
3:36
with 100,000 plus stations at launch. The HomePod is also getting person detection, allowing you or a loved one to talk to the

3:59
system and a new retuned voice for more natural, more authentic sounding speech from Siri
4:05
While still kind of on the iOS train, we'll also talk about iPadOS, the new variant of iOS
4:10
specifically for the iPad. PatOS comes with a bunch of new features, things like three-finger gestures for copying
4:16
cutting and pasting, as well as a new redesigned home screen with more compact icons and the
4:21
ability to pull your widgets in on your main home screen. There's a bunch of new features with

multitasking allowing you to run multiple instances of the same app across different app pairings
4:30
or even side by side with itself. The slideover UI is also changing, allowing you to see a whole
4:36
app switcher of apps that are running in slideover. Safari on the iPad's also seeing a huge upgrade
4:41
with support for a new download manager as well as desktop class browsing
4:46
so it's forcing websites to present the desktop mode, as well as a whole bunch of new keyboard shortcuts
4:51
There's also a handful of new gestures here and there in the system, and some new Apple Pencil features for the iPad pros
4:56
The Files app is also seeing some changes on the iPad. There's a new column view, showing you your directory hierarchy
5:02
There's a new Quick Action feature, much like MacOS, which gives you access to some really common tasks you might do with a certain type of file
5:09
There's also ICloud Drive folder sharing finally coming to ICloud, allowing you and someone else to share contents of a folder
5:15
and have them sync between your two iCloud accounts. And the big feature of files is support for external storage devices
5:22
like flash drives or external hard drives. At this point in the keynote, Apple decided to show off some hardware
5:27
and showed us the new Mac Pro. It looks like the cheese grater Mac reimagined for 2019
5:34
I'm not going to all the specs and all the details. Just note the new Mac Pro starts at $5,999
5:40
And the new Pro Display XDR starts at $4,999. with a couple hundred dollars in add to give it a stand or a mount on a visa arm From there Apple jumped into MacOS and talked about the iTunes breakup There a new music app there a new podcast app and there a new TV app
5:58
Apple also showed off Sidecar, which is a new feature that allows you to push the display of your Mac
6:03
over to an iPad as a secondary display. Now, Sidecar can also work with a bunch of third-party apps that support pencil input
6:10
along you to use your Apple Pencil as an additional touch input device
6:14
in art and other creative apps. Apple also took a moment to discuss accessibility
6:19
with the new voice control feature for both iOS and MacOS, which allows users who need that accessibility feature
6:25
to completely control their Mac or their iPhone or their iPad entirely with their voice
6:31

6:37
Apple also showed off screen time for the Mac, which blends right in with your iOS screen time
6:42
Apple also discussed Project Catalyst, which is what they're calling marzipan. The idea is that developers can take advantage of this
6:49
by simply checking a box inside of Xcode and allowing their apps to ship on the Mac and show up in the Mac App Store
6:55
The end of the key don't Apple talked about Swift and their new Swift UI framework
6:58
which allows developers to create UI quickly and easily with just a few lines of code
